The Perk: Thursday Morning
Dale is going over his notes from his interviews yesterday as he ingests massive quantities of coffee as he makes some casual observations on his tape recorder.
"Diane? Between the students, residents and whatever seems to be running around in the woods; I can honestly say that I've found someplace stranger than Twin Peaks. And that's saying something."

She finally ended up with a cappuchino and a muffin and went to find a seat.

She noticed Dale working and nodded to him as she took a seat. "Good morning, neighbour."

"Coffee shop!" Yachiru informed him brightly.
Which made Kenpachi's eye widen a little. "You are not having coffee."
"Please, please, please, please, pleeeeeeeease?"
Well, he did have trouble refusing her anything when she begged like that. Especially since her begging came with a series of what she thought were light punches across his back. And those punches were stronger than Kenpachi's fear of what Yachiru would be like hopped up on too much caffeine.

"SUGAR!"
"No sugar for her."
"Sugar, sugar, sugar!"
With a sigh, Kenpachi turned toward the man who'd given them a greeting and lifted his chin in response, while Yachiru worked her charm on the barista to get herself something that would have her bouncing off the walls. Yes. Even more so than she already was.
"Good morning," he said, simply.
"Ohaya!" Yachiru chirped in with a wave.

Yachiru, however, was much less rude. "I'm Yachiru!" she introduced herself. "This is Ken-cha--"
Kenpachi quickly cut her off. "Zaraki," he said firmly, lest Dale get the wrong idea. "Captain Kenpachi Zaraki."

A little caffeine in the mornings was a good thing.
