The Park, Thursday Early Afternoon

A princess and her cat guardian walked into the park. This was a strange place they found themselves in. It was nothing like the Moon Kingdom, and not even anything like Crystal Tokyo.

Luna had studied many worlds and planets, and while this seemed like Earth it was also odd and unlike the Tokyo she studied about. They had gotten out of the library just fine, and had wondered around the ruined building briefly. But the sight of the ruins had upset Serenity so they went to the park instead.

"Oh, Luna, this is Earth, I'm just sure of it," Princess Serenity nodded her head as they cut across the grass in the park toward one of the benches. She drew in a deep, wistful breath, letting it out as a wilting sigh, hands cradled together against her chest. "You do know what this means, don't you?"

"That we will go on an endless chaise for Endymion?" Luna asked, flicking her little plush tail. "this looks nothing like the Earth i have studied about."

Serenity let out a happy little sound, so glad that Luna understood important things like going to find Endymion. She bounced a little, happily. "It seems a little different, yes, but it's not too dissimilar from some of the parks I've se--" She stopped a moment, quickly rearranging herself in case Luna wasn't actually aware that she'd been sneaking off to Earth whenever she could to try and see him. "...heard about. With the pond and the grass, and aren't those ducks?"

Luna, being a cat was thoroughly distracted by the ducks. "Well, yes. They are ducks" She said when able to tear her gaze away from them. "But still, we should perhaps find a kind soul to tell us where we are or how to get back."

"Or we could just find Endymion!" Serenity offered with a bright grin. Sure, she had a one-track mind but she was in love. It wasn't her fault that Luna or the Scouts just didn't understand what that was like. She tapped a long, slender finger on her chin as she looked around, wondering where they could begin their search. It was such a nice little Earth town, not at all like Tokyo, and it didn't make much sense for them to be there if it wasn't for him, so it shouldn't be too difficult, right?

"That will hardly get us home, or to the other Scouts." Luna said, shaking her head.

Chuckling slightly, Serenity waved her hand at Luna. "Oh, I'm sure if they need find us, they will. They're resourceful like that."

And had the bad timing. Venus always seemed to have a knack for surfaces to yell at the princess whenever she was thinking of sneaking around.

"Well, perhaps you are right. And Artemis is with them." Hopefully he was enough to keep them in check, and would be able to find the two of them if they were needed.

Serenity smiled at the Guardian. "See? Nothing to worry about at all. You do worry a lot, Luna."

"Well one of us has to" Luna said, defensively. "Otherwise it would be all fun and games, and who would defend the kingdom? Who would fight for Justice? Who would wield the Scepter of Illumination?"

Serenity giggled a little. "Who says all that stuff has to be boring and stuffy? And it isn't all fun and games, either, really. And it isn't like you can't ask other people about where we are while I look?"

"I do not believe i should leave you alone." Luna said, nodding her little kitty head. "But we could spend some time in this park, and then head further into the town to see who we find."

The princess sighed, snapping her fingers slightly. of course Luna wouldn't leave her alone in a strange place, but it had been worth a try. "Okay," she said. "I like it here; it's nice!"

At least she was the agreeable sort. Luna was grateful she was not stuck here with Little Miss Serenity. As much as she loved that kid, she was a brat.

Stan decided to stop flipping through the sports channels and get outside the house for once; he decided to wander around town, starting with the Park.

Hmmm, this man was definitely not Endymion, so Serenity wasn't too terribly interested and went back to watching the ducks because they were amusing to her.

Her head tilted. Perhaps he might know where he might be, though? She debated whether or not to ask.

Stanley gave the girl and her cat a head nod, tilting his head slightly. That's an acrobatic cat, to stay up there like that.

Luna might yell at her for talking to strangers in a strange place, but Serenity had a mission. She gave the man a wave. "Hello! You haven't happened to have seen any tall, dark, and handsome princes of Earth around here, have you?"

Serenity liked to get right to the point, especially when Endymion was involved.

Bwah? "I can't say that I've seen any princes. Maybe some dukes and duchesses," he replied, not sure if she was serious. And at this school? Possibly some nobility, from Europe or somewhenwhere else.

"Oh, drat," the princess sighed, wrinkling her nose. The dukes were stuffy and she didn't like them much at all, because they didn't feel she and Endymion should be together. They just didn't understand their love! "Well, thank you anyway, sir."

"You're welcome. Are you lost?" She did appear to be on a quest of some sort.

"A bit," Serenity admitted. "This is Earth, yes?"

"Yes." Mostly. Sort of. "You're not from Earth, then?"

"I am Princess Serenity, of the Moon Kingdom," she announced, with a very graceful curtsy.

"I am Dr. Stanley Keyworth, of the American Trauma Victims Association," he declared with a respectful bow. "Forgive my manners, but you may be the first pricess I've encountered."

"And i am Luna" Luna said with a friendly wave of the paw

"And I am--bwuh?" Stanley boggled. "Is...did the cat just speak?"

"Okay. So I'm not hallucinating this." He blinked, rapidly, trying to process. "Hello, Luna, Princess Serentity." He bowed again.

The princess gave a fussy little shifting of weight between her satin slippered feet. "He's boring, Luna," she whispered, though not as quietly as she should have. "Let's leave and try to find Endymion or the scouts."

Luna rolledher eyes. Which was hard on a plushy. "Oh fine. Let us depart."

Stanley was wondering if he should decrease or increase his daily alotment of scotch. So far? Increase was winning out. By far.
