Mary had spent most of her afternoon taking inventory of the hotel's unoccupied rooms. After a quick call to the new owner to let him know that everything was in order, Mary took over at the front desk and started making a to-do list. The restaurant's only chef had chosen today to give his notice, so first on her list was finding someone who could cook.

With Dale's warning in mind, there was a notice posted at the desk to stay out of the woods at night for any guests who might stop by.
