Fast Eddie's, Monday evening

Charlie held the door for Adam as they walked in, and said, "The only part I don't like about this game is how dorky the shoes make me feel. Oooo. Let's get some nachos!"

Adam laughed and nodded. "Yeah, I know the feeling. But we can be dorky together." He grinned. "Nachos sound great. My treat?"

"Okay, sounds good." Adam smiled brightly.

He ordered a large plate of nachos and two waters, bringing them over to Lane 3 once he spotted Charlie. "I wasn't sure what you wanted to drink so I opted for waters." Adam would be glad to get something else if she didn't care for the water.

Adam grinned and nodded. "All right, if you're sure? Usually, ladies first, right?" He glanced at the options and picked out a shocker slightly sparkly black bowling ball.

"Um, yeah, don't laugh at me too much when this goes horribly wrong?" Adam pleaded, with a wink. Though when he sent the ball down the lane, he managed to knock three pins down on the first shot. All in all, it wasn't bad as two were left standing after his second shot.

Adam grinned, feeling a tiny bit shy.

"Very nice!" He clapped, jotting down her score. "My turn." Hrm. Adam managed to get a strike, somehow. He laughed. "That? Will never happen again."

Adam shrugged, smiling. "Yeah, I guess you're right." Anything was possible, hadn't Tommy told him that? "I went to Angel Grove High, in California. I had transferred there from Stone Canyon."

He grinned. "Nice one." And his turn came and he managed to knock a few pins down on the first run. "What about you?" Okay, second run and hopefully, it wouldn't be a gutter ball.

Yeah, Adam might've stared a bit at what just happened, only because he hadn't expected a strike. Maybe luck was on his side?

"Not unless your town was subjected to frequent monster attacks?" He mused. Fandom was sort of like Angel Grove, what with the invasions and random bad guys showing up.

"Well, my friends and I tried to help out when we could, but there were people who knew how to take care of the situation." Adam explained. "From what I've heard, hiding isn't really something people do around here." He chuckled.

Yeah, Adam wasn't one for hiding if he could help out.

"Good shot. Bet you'll do better next time." He smiled. And that would be Adam getting a gutter ball. And laughing at it. Hey, he was having a good time. Even if he was losing.

"Yeah, same here." Adam smiled. He could handle monsters bent on destroying the earth, but crazy psycho killers was a bit different. "As do I."

"No need to apologize." Adam smiled warmly. "Trust me, I'm not usually this good." He winked. "You okay?"

['Tis bedtime for me. Pick up in the AM?]

"Okay." Adam smiled, glad to know that. "I can wait for you, if you'd like." He didn't mind one bit, as he took a seat.

[Sounds good.]
