Tori arrived to open the store on time, wanting to make up for missing work last Tuesday. She set out tea and treats, should any customers want some.

She settled down behind the counter, reading up on the latest surfing news in Surfer Magazine.

Luke opened the door and gave Tori a bright smile. "Hi, you."

"Hey you." Tori grinned when she saw Luke. "I was wondering if I'd see you today."

"And the answer was 'yes'," Luke replied with another smile, moving closer. "Was that what you were hoping for?"

Tori pretended to think about the answer for a moment. "Yes, I think it was."

Luke pretended to pout. "Then I suppose you can have the present I brought you," he decided, holding out a box of chocolate.

Yeah, Tori hadn't seen that one coming. She grinned happily, accepting the box of chocolates. "Oh wow, thank you." Tori was pleasantly surprised. She gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Seriously, thank you. You really didn't have to."

"I've already eaten half of them," Luke teased.

Tori laughed. "I wouldn't mind if you did. It's the thought that counts." She winked.

"Noted," Luke replied with a grin. "Next time I bring something, I'll be sure to test it out first."

"To make sure it's good, right?" Tori chuckled. "So, I know it's only Tuesday, but how has your week been so far?"

"Quiet," Luke said, "but I'll be going to Z's party tonight, so that'll be a nice change. I think Artoo wants her to adopt him." Luke's cheeks went bright red, "although I told him I won't call him Tiger anymore. Stupid gremlins."

"Oh, that'll be fun I'm sure." Tori smiled brightly. "Does he now? That's cute." She nodded. "Annette told me about that, she heard it on the radio. I'm almost sorry I missed it."

If you thought it wasn't possible for him to get any redder? You'd be wrong.

"I'm very, very glad you missed it," he said. "I was an absolute idiot. I couldn't look Gavin in the eye for days."

"Well, I'm glad you're okay now." Tori meant it. "I'm not sure I want to know how bad it must have been for you."

"It's apparently a Skywalker family tradition," Luke said with a sheepish grin.

"I'll have to keep that in mind." Tori winked.

Luke snickered. "At least I didn't think I was a girl," he said.

"Yeah, that could've been bad." Tori admitted, shaking her head in amusement. She'd seen what happened when the guys thought themselves to be of the opposite sex. It was pretty funny, but kind of freaky at the same time.

"I'd dig up old pictures of the event--my father thought he was a vampire slayer, apparently--but you seem to like me and I don't want to ruin that momentum," Luke told her as he moved a little closer.

"A vampire slayer?" Yeah, Tori was intrigued. "Now why would I stop liking you if I saw those pictures?" She chuckled, leaning closer to him.

"Because my father's wearing a skirt and that's something you shouldn't see until the third date," Luke said with a grin.

"Oh, I see." Tori grinned. "Third date, huh? Well I guess I could make it to a third date, for that."

Luke laughed. "And then I'd totally understand when you'd scream and run away. My family sets new standards for dysfunction."

Tori laughed lightly. "Do they now?" She shook her head. "I think it'll take a lot more than that to make me run away."

Luke shook his head. "You don't know the half of it," he said with a smile. "I have a twin sister I didn't know about until February and that's the most normal part of the whole thing."
