The Park: Thursday Evening

Aly wandered out to the Park in response to the handwavy note she received.

This really, really better not be Wade's idea of a prank.  She so owed him.  About ten times worth.

[OOC:  For [profile] bound2blade]

Half of the reason Setsuna was wearing the black ninja scarf that Jude had given her was not to help with the effectiveness of hiding in the bushes in the part at night, but to hide the pink that would be splattered all over her face for this. It was the worst idea ever. She wasn't proud of it in any way, shape, or form, especially because she knew she could think of something better than this. However, she needed to get detention this Saturday. And she might as well kill two birds with one stone.

The black and hiding was so she could at least go a little bit without being caught, as she'd planned for class. She didn't want to make a complete fool of herself in front of Alianne-sensei.

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Well, this was as good as it was going to get. Setsuna held her breath, centred herself before focusing her aim, and launched the banana creme pie in her hands toward Alianne-sensei's head.

The moment it left her hand, she didn't stay put, either. Using her quickness, her ninja quiet, and the benefit of her dark clothing, she leapt up with great vertical speed up into a nearby tree. Where another pie was waiting. She'd wait just a moment to see how Aly would react.

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
The repositioning made the second pie a little harder for Setsuna to aim, but she sent it on its merry pie way toward Alianne-sensei's again. Setsuna immediately darted up through the leaves of the trees, trying to be as soundless as possible as she did a flip that landed her in her third spot behind another, nearby bush.

How convenient that this park has so much shrubbery. Most likely, it was the squirrels' idea.

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Well, that tree certainly did put a damper on Setsuna's third pie. She looked down and considered it a moment before considering the tree and Alianne-sensei behind it. Technically speaking, she could probably give herself up now. After all, two hits against a spy such as Alianne-sensei was impressive, and her assuming she might be Yondaime-sensei helped her to think that she could still make a case to Deadpool that, while she got caught in the end, she was still able to leave the spy mildly annoyed with not only stealth, but also potentially as well as his little kissy-buddy. She took a moment, eyes darting over the terrain (Alianne-sensei, after all, wasn't the only one that could see particularly well in the dark).

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps, if she made a dash for that tree over there, she could managed to throw the pie on her way and then quickly duck-and-roll into coverage in that bush right there....It was worth a try, after all. Setsuna knew the point of this was to get caught, but, at the same time, she really didn't want to. She had three teachers that she held in high regard (although one she'd be reluctant to admit) to impress here...

Here goes nothing. She drew in a deep breath and dashed out of her hiding spot, enacting her plan.

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Setsuna was much too focused on reaching her goal to be able to prevent the tackle from making contact and she unravelled out of her little rolling ball with a spy on top of her and a little 'oof' escaping, muffled by her scarf over her face.

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
The thing with Setsuna's ninja-ing scarf was that it was made by Jude, and, for some reason, Jude had made it unnecessarily long. While she was usually able to wrap it enough that its length wouldn't hinder her while she worked, it was still pretty lengthly, as well as wrapped around her face a couple time. The long part of it was pretty effectively stuck underneath her, too, so Aly's attempts to remove it were pretty futile.

Which was good because Setsuna was absolutely red underneath it. She let out a nervous chuckle. "It's me, Alianne-sensei," she said. "Setsuna."

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
Setsuna took the offered hand, but put most of the getting-up process into her own legs, her other hand on her head to keep her totally cool black hat with an S on it (also made by Jude) in place. Once straightened, she smoothed out her black skirt and worked on unwrapping the scarf.

"I'm actually his TA," she informed Aly dryly. Still blushing significantly, though. Deadpool had better freakin' appreciate this.

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
"Yes, well..." Setsuna drew in a breath, shifting a little nervously in the grass with her eyes slightly down. She was tempted to say that Alianne-sensei should make sure Deadpool knew that she felt that way about the attack up until the last pie, but she reminded herself that she wasn't even going to do this assignment until she had that ulterior motive. "Getting caught, assaulting a teacher with deserts. That's probably, like....an offense worthy of an administrative castigation. Such as...detention, or something..."

Hint, hint.

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
Same difference.

"Are...are you sure?" Setsuna asked, blinking. "I mean...I got caught. And I...hit you with pies. The actions were my own and, therefor, the blame belongs to me as well. I could have very well have told Deadpool to sod off for such a ridiculous assignment."

And, in fact, she did. But that wouldn't help her case here.

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
Setsuna shifted a little. "Well...." She took a moment to consider, drawing in a deep breath. "If I were to say that I was, it would defeat the purpose of me technically getting it on my own accord; being just handed a detention for the sake of wanting a detention negates the worth of obtaining it."

Yes. That would do nicely.

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
And Setsuna was reminded of exactly why Alianne-sensei was her favourite teacher. She bowed, deeply, of course. "I shall accept this punishment upon myself in hopes that it will help clarify my perception of acceptable and unacceptable behaviour so that the experience my guide me to better executed approaches in the future. I shall leave you now, so that you may properly huff off in indignation and cleanse yourself of the violating dessert apparatus."

Hey. She didn't spend all that time reading English dictionaries her first summer here for nothing.

A grin did eventually crack before she left, though. "Oh, and, Alianne-sensei?"

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
With a blushing grin, Setsuna's eyes shifted slightly. Yeah, so she got a little carried away. She wasn't the one covered in pie, though.

"Maybe...do me a little favour and mention something Deadpool about this? Have to admit, I didn't do half bad there..."

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
Setsuna lowered her head in gratitude. "Thanks, Alianne-sensei. Sorry about the pie."

In a Completely Different Part of the Park

Ed tried to read his book in the light of the full moon as he waiting for Haku. It was difficult, true, but he didn't want to just be bored.

Haku dropped down out of a tree behind Ed, smiling. Not that you could tell behind the mask. "That usually works better with light."

"ACK!" Edward jumped about a mile at Haku's voice, book thrown up in the air. "Give a guy a little warning next time, geez!"

Haku removed the mask and smiled impishly at Ed. "Not my style. I did get the pens inside though."

He relaxed a bit seeing Haku, but he was still pretty flaily. "Still! I coulda had a heart attack or something." He grinned at the words. "Nice. And she wasn't there? I can't wait to see the results. You're in her class, right? Maybe she'll get covered with ink."

"Yes I am! And I'll definitely fill you in on if anything interesting happens!" He assured the blond. "Don't worry about a heart attack, you're too healthy for that."

Edward eyed him. "Thanks. I think But yes! Tell me what happens or if you hear anything on the radio. I'm going home tomorrow - " he grinned hugely. "So I won't get to hear if she goes ballistic or something."

"Going home?" Haku asked curiously. "For good? Or just for a break?"

"Just for a few days," Ed said, still gleeful. "My brother Al and I are going. It's been a ...really, really long time since I've been back there. Can't wait to see everyone."

[identity profile] snow-white-boy.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
"Al's your brother?" Haku smiled and then studied him with a nod. "I see the resmblance now. Al is in my cabin, though I haven't seen him much since I first got here. I'm sure it wll be nice for you both."

[identity profile] im-fullmetal.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
"My little brother, yeah," Edward told him, turning to start the walk back toward the cabins. "He tends to keep his nose in a book a lot of the time."

...Like Ed of all people could point fingers about that.

[identity profile] snow-white-boy.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
"Must be nice," Haku smiled. "I love books, but I never have much time to read." He said as they walked back to the cabins. "I think I'll finally have time to here though."

Edward shrugged. "We're alchemists. It's what we do." He nodded. "There's a great library here though. Not much alchemy, I mean, but looks like a ton of everything else. If you need a place to start."

[identity profile] snow-white-boy.livejournal.com 2007-06-01 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
"I'll have to," Haku smiled in agreement. "Maybe I'll ask for some recommendations later." He paused as they reached his cabin.

"Goodnight Ed, have a safe trip tomorrow."

"Night, Haku," he said with a wave. "Have a good weekend. Watch out for pens."

And he took himself back to Chupacabra to pack the very, very little he was bringing with him.
