GOB was confident that it would work one of these days.

Aiden, definitely all good with the idea of Caritas having a ladies night again, nothing wrong with half price drinks.

She slid onto a stool. "Vodka martini," she said, with a grin at GOB. "Please."

"Sure thing," GOB said. "Hey, Tino! Vodka martini for the first lady of the night!"

As Tino passed it over, GOB smiled. "How are you tonight, Aiden?"

"Ain't going so bad," Aiden replied. "Cheap drinks, always a good start to the evening. Yourself?"

Having spoken three sentences to Aiden without making a comlpete ass out of himself, GOB had set a recent record for himself.

Aiden grinned, pulling her drink nearer. Flattery was also always fun. "Nice t' hear," she said cheerfully. "Figured I should make the most of my weekend by gettin' out and about."

"And what a better way to do that than with drinks, music, and pleasant company, right?" GOB asked. "How's business?"

"Nothin' better so far as I can tell," Aiden replied, and took a sip from her drink.

"Business, ain't doing so badly. Finally startin' to pick up on the perks of bein' in a place where you can get to different dimensions. Wider customer base an' so on."

"I need you to investigate how you got to be so beautiful," GOB said. He didn't really believe in building up to things. Or in subtlety. "I'm thinking genetics. I bet your mom is hot."

Aiden arched an eyebrow at him. Yep, that was pretty damn bad as pick up lines go. She's had worse, but not much worse.

Her only other response was to drain more of her martini. He's giving her half price drinks, so telling him his lines are awful might not be a wise move if she wants that to continue.

Mary has a touch of sunburn from her fishing trip with Stanley earlier in the day and needed a drink to cool her off. Why not make it a half-price drink?

She gave the bartender a dazzling smile. "Club soda with lime, please."

"Anything you want," GOB said, giving a smile in return. "Club soda with lime, Tino!"

When Tino handed over the drink, GOB asked, "Are you new in town? I don't remember seeing you around before."

"I'm Mary," she said. "I just started working at the Arms Hotel, so I haven't been in Fandom very long."

"Then you must be responsible for them," said Mary, pointing at the zombies. "I have to say that it's one of the most unique acts I've ever seen, and I used to book entertainers for one of the biggest casinos in Las Vegas."

"Yep, that was me," GOB lied. Lorne brought them. Of course, Lorne had left town before Mary showed up, so why let a good compliment go to waste? "They're great. They can play absolutely anything and all it costs is a few brains every week."

The brains comment really should have rattled Mary, but she'd been in Fandom for at least a week now.

"Not bad," she said. "You should have seen some of the requests a lot of the big names make."
