Fandom Post Office; Monday [ 06/04 ]

Moving back to the dorms wasn't really much of a problem for Setsuna, considering that almost all of her possessions fit neatly in her sachel and she just brought that with her to work. It would be a long shift, though, because she realized that so long out of the dorms has left her hair in need of a touch-up. She hadn't even thought about it until Gladys tried to tell her it almost looked like there was something in her hair and it took Setsuna a moment or two and a glance in a reflective surface to realize she was talking about her roots. First thing she was going to do when she got back was break back into her hair dye...

The Post Office is open!

Hey, look. She's actually wearing one of those hats today....

Aly wandered into the post office because she was pretty sure she thought this was Setsuna's day to work. She also brought a pie. Just because.

"Oh, Alianne-sensei! Hello," Setsuna greeted the spy with a bit of a bashful smile, still feeling a little weird about the whole incident in the park, but it had already been showing off its advantages.

And the Setsuna noticed the pie and went straight from mildly bashful to straight out red-in-the-face in 0.5 seconds. A new record! "What...brings you by?"

She reminded herself that if that pie ended up in her face, she totally deserved it and that such didn't seem like Aly's style, anyway.

"Hi Setsuna," Aly said with a grin. "First, I need to mail letters, second, I come bearing pie that will not be thrown, and third, I have a request to ask."

Well, that certainly made Setsuna relax. A little. The mail she could handle. The pie was a relief. The request, however...

"Is the unthrowability of the pie directly related to the request, I wonder?" she asked, with a slight grin to ease any nervousness. However, it was also difficult not to preen a little that Alianne-sensei would come to her with a favour of sorts.

Aly chuckled. "I suppose you could throw the pie if you did not approve of the request, but it would be a waste of a perfectly good pie."

"Agreed," Setsuna nodded. "Well, let's take care of the letters first, as that's the easiest, and then we'll get to real business?"

"Excellent," Aly agreed. She set the pie on the counter and pulled three letters out of her bag. Addressed and sealed to 'Baron of Pirate's Swoop,' 'Lianna,' and 'Dovasary of the Copper Isles.'

"They're all to my home world. I understand they'll be delivered properly?"

Setsuna nodded, patting the side of the Sorting Machine. "I don't claim to understand the technology of it, but this thing seems to be able to send anything anywhere..."

She thought. She didn't actually know what much did around here, but she it all seemed to work out.

Aly grinned and handed her the letters. "I don't know too much about any of the technology either, but if it works, I'm thrilled."

She tilted her head to look at Setsuna. "So the favour I had to ask of you, isn't anything large, but I'm planning a surprise wedding shower and was hoping someone with your skills of not being seen might possibly help me let people in the dorms know about it."

One of Setsuna's eyebrows lifted as she regarding this request while slipping the letters into the Sorting Machine. "You need me to post flyers? That's all? She sounded almost vaguely disappointed. "Who's getting married?"

"That's all," she said, looking disappointed as well. "I wish I had something more for you, but I'm hoping for it to be a surprise. You know the happy couple as well, I believe. Deadpool and Yondaime?"

Setsuna blinked at Aly. "I...I'm sorry, I...must have misheard you. I thought you said Deadpool...and Yondaime?"

She nodded, trying not to smile. "It was a small wedding a few weeks ago," she explained. "But all their friends should be able to celebrate with them."

Setsuna let out a long sigh, forcing herself not to overreact. "Well, I did see them kissing in the park the other week, but I never imagined..." She blinked a few times; it was all very hard to grasp. She shook her head, muttering something about him telling her it was all just a drunk thing.

Her hand went to her head. 'I think my brain hurts..."

Aly nodded. "I understand that. The UST. It has been crazy."

Setsuna's palms promptly met her face. "Please do not mention any UST to me; I have classes with those two."

She laughed. "So you'll help them out?"

Setsuna let out a grunt. "It is unwise," she said, rather sagely while trying to push down the blushing, "to try to help those who refuse to help themselves. I've repeatedly asked Deadpool to stay out of my personal affairs; it would be hypocritical of me to involve myself in his. I will, however, support them with the distribution of these flyers, although I consider it more of a favour to you than to them...."

She shook her head, muttering something more about after all that trouble he gave her....

Aly nodded. "Your assistance is very much appreciated, and I thank you. I am certain that the newlyweds will appreciate it as well."

Though perhaps not for a while...

Hearing them referred to as 'newlyweds' was just strange and made Setsuna's nose wrinkle slightly. "...It is probably expected to bring them a gift in celebration, isn't it?"

"That's the tradition," Aly agreed. "They have a few registries for gifts that I was hoping to make known as well."

"Registries for where?" Setsuna asked. "Mercs'n'Ninjas R Us?"

If there was such a place, she was so getting something for herself...

Especially while Setsuna's at her workshop.

Come get your freakin' mail.

Pleased to not be actually mentioning the white roots. I call this, "I need some sort of text for this and I just woke up."
