The Park, Thursday Afternoon [after workshops]

Tori felt like getting outside to enjoy the nice day, so she wandered over to the park. Finding a nice shady spot beneath a tree, Tori took a seat.

A book rested nearby, but she didn't feel like reading just yet. Tori decided to relax and just enjoy her surroundings for the moment. She'd get to reading in a little bit.

It was possible that there was a sneaky someone hiding amongst the trees. It was also possible that said someone was armed with waterguns.

It was also possible that he wasn't as good at hiding as he'd like to be.

Tori could sense someone was around, but she wasn't exactly sure who it might be. She decided to not turn around and see who it was, but casually pick up her book and pretend to read.

Peter, proving why in his family he was known as the dreamer and not the thinker, fired the watergun at Tori.

And that was when Tori dropped her book and turned, catching the water in midflight. Grinning, she sent it back towards Peter, with an extra stream of water behind it.

Peter laughed and tried - unsuccessfully - to duck. "No fair!"

Tori grinned, sticking her tongue out at Peter, amused. "No fair for trying to sneak up on me, mister!" She laughed, considering sending a ball of water Peter's way.

"I was just saying hi?" Peter tried, giving her the ol' puppy eyes.

Of course he tried using the water gun on her again while he did it, hoping she'd be too distracted to notice.

"Hi." Okay, damn. Those puppy eyes were Tori's one weakness.

Which was why she got a face full of water. "Hey!" Tori couldn't help but sputter and laugh, wiping her face with her sleeve. "Okay, that's it. You asked for Mr. Petrelli."

And a thick blast of water was heading for Peter, intent on soaking him.

"Ack!" Peter flailed. He tried copying off Tori's powers to try to send some of the water away but hey, she was better at this than he was. He got soaked.

Tori's hand flew to her mouth as she stifled a giggle. She tried to grin innocently at Peter, but failed miserably.

"Sorry?"

"Wet," Peter replied. He flicked his bangs out of his eyes. "Lucky for me it's not too cold out."

Tori nodded, smiling sheepishly. "Yes. That would've been bad."

Standing up, she shook off the towel she'd been sitting on omg, it was there the whole time! and held it out to Peter. "In case you wanted to dry off?"

"Thanks," Peter said, taking it. "Guess you don't have Katara's trick with that, huh?"

"You're welcome." Tori smiled, shaking her head. "I've learned a few things from her, but not that. Thought I'm hoping I might. It would definitely come in handy."

"Too bad she's not here," Peter said. He grinned. "Then again if she was I probably would've gotten beat twice."

"That is very true. You most likely would have." Tori couldn't help from grinning mischieviously at that. "Maybe next time?" She winked. "So how've you been Peter?"

"Not bad," Peter said. He held up the water gun. "Kinda bored. Figured I'd make my own fun. You?

"That's cool." Tori grinned, a sudden thought coming to her. "Interested in maybe being sneaky again this week, except this time with water balloons?" What? She wasn't that innocent. "I've been good, had a sparring session yesterday with one of the new students. That was fun. And I've been hanging out with Luke a lot." Yeah, a slight blush crept into her cheeks.

"I could be tempted," Peter said. "And yeah? He treating you okay?"

"You could, huh?" Tori chuckled, wondering if they might get in trouble for it. "Yeah, oh he's been great, yes. No worries there." She smiled reassuringly, grateful for Peter's concern.

"Good to know," Peter said. "You got anything in mind or am I on a need to know basis?"

"At the moment, no." Tori grinned sheepishly. "But, it just kind of came to mind when I saw the watergun."

"Improvisation, fun," Peter said. "I can handle it. Just give me the sign when you're ready."

He gave the towel back to her. "And thanks for not kicking my ass too bad with the water."

"It is, yeah." Tori smiled. "Okay, I'll definitely do that."

She nodded, taking the towel. "Sure thing. And if you feel like training again, just let me know and I'm there."

Savannah was sitting next to the pond and doing a lot of relaxing and thinking as she was watching the ripples of the water.

Spirit paused in his journey from the causeway to the school when the full impact of what he was headed towards hit him. And as cool a customer as he was normally, he couldn't help gaping a bit. "That's the school?" he muttered.

Savannah looked up when she heard the voice. "Excuse me?"

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you. I was just a bit surprised at the school is all. What happened to it?"

"Depends what version you believe. One says Martians blew up the school. Another says eartquake."

Spirit smirked. Teenagers and they're wild stories. "Aliens huh. That's a new one. Are you a student?"

"Something like that, I'm with the Foster Care Office."

That would be where Savannah stiffened. "What are you doing in Fandom?"

Spirit noticed, and wondered if this place was a popular destination for Witness Protection. "I'm doing a routine check on a former student, would have graduated in '99."

"William Kessler." he answered. "Though I doubt you'd have heard of him, it's been almost ten years."

"I didn't think you would. He was enrolled as a junior in 1997." He was however, looking for any outward sign that she might know more than she was telling.
