Our Lady of Fandom, Monday all day
Gabriel had taken a break from letter writing and was playing the strange instrument in the church. It was quite impressive he had to admit, and he did his best to make it sound like the angelic choirs.
[The church is open!]

Not particularly shy with the door, the young doctor gave it a firm shove open and stepped across the threshhold.
"Greetings!" He called out, pitching his voice to make use of the church's excellent accoustics.

Setting his hands on his hips, he smiled brightly.
"Now why would I want to do that, always struck me as a fairly futile practice."

"Why, I came here to welcome you to our lovely little island. Taken over here at the church have you? Now that seems positively ironic."

"Now now, no need to be like that, I was 'merely' answering your question. Would it help if I did so more slowly? Or maybe used smaller words?"
As a rule, Wilson usually tried to make friends with the new people but it seemed he was picking up on at least Aziraphale's tension or perhaps simply reacting to the idea of being used as a tool in angelic turf squabbles."

because strangely enough work likes the mun to do work now and againWilson walked towards one of the pews."Last time I checked, this was HIS house and open to every one of HIS children who sought sanctuary within it's walls."
Sitting down on the bench, the doctor reached for a Bible and set it demurely upon his lap.
"By all means, if you'd like to go back to what you were playing, it sounded quite beautiful."
Did that sound like a command? At least there was a compliment added at the end, right?

Okay, note to self that 'mortal' comment Lucifer had made obviously did not quite mean without the ability to physically drop a snarky doctor on his head...or butt as the case might be.
This was a good thing to know for the future and Wilson eyed Gabriel speculatively as he rubbed at his throat.
"Good to know," he said with a cheeky -if slightly wan- smile but he did pick himself up and headed for the door.

This was steeping really low, he knew, but he was running out of money.

"Now, how did you know my name?"

She also had less familiarity with the Christian scriptures, so the name Gabriel and an associated trumpet held no special significance to her. "Why did you choose to play in a church?"
