The Devil's Nest, Monday Night
Much like another blond bartender in town, Lucifer was also in a good mood.
Though, to be honest, with him no one would be able to tell the difference between 'had a good day' and 'contemplating destroying humanity'. Hopefully it wasn't the later that was the cause of this mood.

The Bar
Re: The Bar
Head high he made his way into the Nest, whistling quite cheerfully to himself as he beelined towards the bar.
"Champagne please," he requested. At least Lucifer got the 'please'.
Re: The Bar
"Is there a reason for this request?"
Re: The Bar
"It's not every day that you welcome an angel to your home town. I'm celebrating in Gabriel's honor."
The words sounded pretty, the expression in his eyes? Less than pretty.

"I simply reminded him that it was not his house and therefore I had little use for his rules."

Finishing off his champagne, he hopped down from the stool and laid a ten spot on the bar.
"Thank you."

Re: The Bar
"And just what do you hope to accomplish with this silly little pout?"
Re: The Bar
"That's rather the sum of things with you lot isn't it. Silly little mortals with their infantile games. Fine, I get it. You're all bigger, older, wiser, smarter, prettier, deadlier...dear HIM the list could go on and on."
He tugged back again.
"What I won't give you or Phale or Gabriel is the power to make me dance to your haughty little tunes like a personal puppet. Let.Go.Of.Me."
Re: The Bar
He dropped his hold, giving Wilson a mildly disgusted look. "Histrionics don't suit you."
Re: The Bar
"And you'd rather I just capitulate like a good little sycophant?" He said softly.
"Maybe you do hold all the cards as you seem to enjoy reminding me of but that doesn't mean I have to play in your games. Especially when you three start batting me about like a tug toy in your little dominance games with each other."
Re: The Bar
"Just don't expect to be allowed to act in such a way towards me. Is that understood?"
Re: The Bar
"Accept it?" He whispered dangerously. "Like you accepted what you could not change? I've seen how you 'accept' that which is not your will, so don't you dare stand there and advise me on a course of action that you yourself would never bridle to."
A step closer, dark eyes livened by a brilliant gleam stared fearlessly into gold.
"I've done nothing but respect you since we met but I will not bow to even your will."
Re: The Bar
"Then find the tools to change it. Acceptance of one's fate is only if you are too weak to overcome it. I had hoped you would not choose that option."
Re: The Bar
"Not out here, courting your ire and Gabriel's threats."
Re: The Bar
"And just is it that you want me to do about this... inferiority complex you've developed for yourself?

Re: The Bar
"Yeah, the fortune cookie comment was innappropriate. I apologize for that."

"You misunderstand," he said and turned away. "Maybe I just wanted to talk to someone who knew what it was like."
Pushing his hands into his pockets he began to head towards the park.
"I'm tired."
