Chilly Boulder Ice Cream; Early Thursday Evening.

After he'd stopped by the store to pick her up, Turtle and John headed over to Chilly Boulder for their ice cream not-date of forgiveness. "Do you think," she asked, tilting her head as she scanned the selections, "that getting a turtle sundae would just be way too cheesy?" She snorted a bit of a laugh. She thought it would be, but maybe cheesy in a cute way, and, surprisingly, she hadn't had enough caramel and chocolate from all those candy bars yet...

[[ turtle's here with [livejournal.com profile] ltcolkirk, who was modded with permission, buuuuut open for all other ice cream needs! ]]

"I think it would be just the right amount of cheese," John replied. "I, myself, am going for a double scoop of Double Fudge Brownie."

"I'm taken with the promise of two desserts combined into one. We'll see if it's as good as it sounds," he said. "OH! I have a business proposal to discuss with you."

"Well, I assume you know about the flag football team I started with Molly?" he asked.

John continued, after grabbing his own ice cream cone from the clerk. "Okay, so I was thinking it would be nice for the players to have some sort of uniform or team shirt. However, since we're not an official sport, we don't get any help from the school."

"You read my mind!" he smiled, licking his ice cream cone. "We might be getting two sponsors, so you wouldn't be facing the financial burden alone," he added.

John was glad this business was going so well. "Molly and I were gonna talk to GOB Bluth at Caritas, too."

"That's one way we could do it, yes. I defer to the business minds for that sort of thing, though."

"You'd also have a reason to come watch us play if you were attached to one team," John agreed.

John slurped up some drippy ice cream, totally oblivious to her slip. "Cool. Which team do you think you'd like to outfit - blue or gold?"

[omg icon love!]

"Me? I'm captain of the Gold Team, does that influence your sponsorship in one way or another?" he inquired.

John wasn't sure where this was going. "No, Annette is on the blue team. Where are you going with this?"

"Great! The Gold Team is thrilled to have Turtle & Canary as its official sponsor," he reached out an ice cream-free hand to shake on the deal.

John grinned, "The pleasure is all mine, Miss Wexler."

"We practice on Sunday mornings in the gym. It's pretty low-key so far," he said, and set his tongue to work on getting the ice cream out of the cone part.

He looked up from his cone, "Not early early or no one would show."
