Movie Sign Theater 3000, Saturday Evening

Now Showing:

Rote Mühle!

Hookers, bums and musical numbers combine to make the love story of the 19th century!

"I didn't know this movie was about, uh, that," Lucas insisted to Pam as they entered the theater.

[OOC: It's Moulin Rouge!]

Pam bit her lip, trying not to laugh. "What, musical numbers?"

"But think of all the poor, unemployed tapdancers," Pam said woefully.

Pam considered the theater thoughtfully. "There?" she suggested, pointing to some seats in the back center. "It's the best view, even if you're furthest from the screen. It's been statistically proven."

No, it hadn't.

"But then you'd be able to see as long as you didn't take them off. So you would just have to not have any epiphanies that'd make you whip them off dramatically."

"It'd definitely make for a different viewing experience. I kind of have a feeling that it'd be hard to belittle the tapdancers' work, though, and we'll probably find a way to do it anyway."

Pam beamed. "It's done already? Wow. Color me impressed. But, um, that sounds good! Do it sometime when everyone's distracted."

"He annoys people anyway," she pointed out. "Ooh. Any chance we could get it started on Monday? That's when class is."

"Yay," Pam said happily. "Thanks. For doing this, I mean. Seriously, it wouldn't be nearly as cool without you."

And look, Pam was blushing too. Not that anyone could tell. Probably. Hopefully. "Really? 'Cause yeah, I have to admit that the appeal of the semi-elaborate revenge scheme might not have been my, um, entire reason for wanting to spend time with you."

Wow, her hands were really interesting tonight.

"Yeah," Pam agreed, grinning like the wee little dork she was and abandoning her study of her hands for just a quick, shy second. "Me too."

"We're tough people. We can take it," Pam whispered back. It's possibly she scooted a tiny bit closer.

"Ice cream is good. Generally speaking, there probably wouldn't be tapdancing or juggling there, so we'd be safe."

It's possible that Pam, despite staring at the screen so she wouldn't die of blushing, lifted a finger to shyly brush against his.

Pam was blushing the entire time, and bit her lip nervously as she let Lucas take her hand and tentatively tried to thread her fingers through his.

Pam probably couldn't have told you what the movie was really about, beyond the hookers and musical numbers, really. She was too busy being nervous and darting glances over at Lucas. Totally covertly, though. Really.

"You secretly like the dancing?" she whispered back, looking over and actually not looking away immediately.

Pam blushed even darker, and really, it may have even been visible considering the darkness. "Me neither."
