Fandom Post Office, Tuesday, 6/26

Behind the counter, Annette was playing with Not Tiddles, making faces at the cat while she stacked stamps and envelopes and just basically straightened up.

She was in a good mood this morning except she forgot to eat breakfast and her tummy was growling. That sucked.

Annette set the bell out with a note that read, Please ring the bell for service - ONLY if no one is behind the counter. Thank you. And Annette was behind the counter so...

The Post Office is open.

How may she help you?

Dick decided to stop by the post office before he left for Neptune.

He rang the bell just to be annoying.

Annette watched him walk in, watched him with a curious brow as he sidled up to the counter and rung her bell.

Smiling, she asked pertly, "How may I help you?"

"Just looking at the merchandise." he said, staring at her.

"Oh. I think your eyes are stuck then, because the stamps are over here," she waved her hand to the side, her eyes never leaving his.

"I wasn't looking for stamps." he said, grinning.

"Oh," she repeated, feeling her cheeks warm up. Dick seemed to make her blush so easily. "Are you wishing to purchase this merchandise then?"

Dick pouted. "I have to purchase it? Aren't I cute enough to get it for free?"

She snickered and looked down, blushing even more, "You are very cute, yes."

"I knew it!" he said, laughing. "This face has gotten me out of many a sticky situation."

She laughed and would have to agree with him, "I bet it has, Dick. I'm rather fond of it myself."

"I'll try to take better care of it, for your sake." Dick said.

Her eyes scanned over his black eye and his hurt cheek and she gave him an endearing little smile, "Please do, I would hate for you to come back from Neptune looking worse. But it's a wedding right? You're going to be looking sharp in a tux, and everything will be fine. Bring me back some pictures."

"I will. You can see what Kendall looks like." he said. The chances of coming back from Neptune looking worse were slim but still possible. "I'll do my best to stay out of trouble. Weddings aren't really known for their fist fights."

Especially during Annette's Potpouri workshop.

Red, shiny, be using them for all your mailbox needs. Yes.

*curls up in a ball cause is so very tired this morning*
