The Park: Tuesday Late Evening

Aly had gotten bored of being in her apartment so she decided to take herself out for a walk.  Possibly down to the beach eventually or possibly just to the Perk because Gods know when you're bored, caffeine is the best remedy. 

But for now, she was walking through the Park, not finding the darkness bothersome at all.

Lucifer had been feeling a bit restless himself. Not wishing to go to his creation, he went to the park to spread his wings a bit. He so rarely flew simply for the joy of it.

He landed on the back of a park bench, perched there with far more grace than a being of his size should have.

There were times when Aly wished she *couldn't* see so well. This might have been one of them as she noticed the man perching on the park bench. She raised an eyebrow, looking more closely to see who it was.

He cocked his head to the side, looking in her direction calmly before turning away. A dismissive gesture as if she wasn't worth his time to bother with not being seen in such a state.

Aly smirked at the gesture and then wondered if he'd fly away if she talked to him. "Beautiful evening, don't you think," she asked, eyes a bit mischievous.

He looked up at the stars, wings settling back behind him. "Yes, I suppose it does have it's charms."

"In that it's not raining at least," she said, pondering the amount to needling that would be possible here and trying not particularly to think of the wings and other people she'd known in the past who'd been flighted.

"No it is not," He replied, a dry humor coloring his tone. "How can I help you this evening Alianne Kawalsky?"

Aly stared at him, completely caught off guard for once.

A moment passed as she watched him then she tossed her head trying to play it off. "Well, that's a useful talent."

He gave her a small, secretive smile as he stood on the edge of the bench back, smoothing the lines of his suit pants and weightlessly touching down onto the ground. "Talent? I suppose you could call it that."

Her eyes absolutely did not appreciate his shirtlessness openly. It was very covert. Cause she was a spy.

"Mmm, I'd call it something like that. What would you call it?"

Of course not.

Lucifer studied the stars a moment longer. "Something that comes from simply existing."

"Your way does sound more pompous," she commented easily.

"Pride and the fall, yes, yes. I have heard that before."

Aly chuckled. "Well, now I feel like I've been horribly unoriginal. Do forgive me."

He nodded solemnly at her. "Of course. Do try harder next time."

"I shall indeed," she said, still amused. "So why does one who has wings choose to fly over a Park instead of out over the ocean or something more interesting?"

"You say that as if this park holds nothing of interest," He replied. "You are certainly enough to hold my interest for a moment or two."

Aly laughed and ducked him a tiny curtsy. "Truly, you do me too much honour," she said, her tone heavily tinged with both flippancy and sarcasm.

"It is rare that I come across someone so touched, even in this place," He continued, ignoring her attitude. "Not Loki. No, not his style." He tilted his head and looked closely at her. "Coyote, perhaps?"

"Neither, no," she said easily. "I'm not from this world."

"But it is so very similar to one of them," He replied, stepping in a circle around her. "They rarely differ, even in other worlds. Always the same the tricksters."

"I'm sure he'll be dreadfully disappointed to hear you think that," Aly said sweetly, clasping her wrists and stood easily though she rather felt like a mouse under a cat's gaze.

Gold eyes flickered in the faint light of the moon and stars, giving him an animalistic gleam. "They always are."

"And do you make it your habit to be the bearer of such bad news?" she asked.

"Ah, but it is the truth. Surely you know that."

"The disappointment?" Aly said. "It's been noticed. Their feelings are hurt so easily. But then, so are most Gods'."

"They mirror their creators, flaws and all," He replied with a smirk.

"How does that differ from any other creation" she asked.

"They feel no need to better themselves or strive for change."

Aly laughed. "Perhaps. Or perhaps my Gods are different from those you know."

Lucifer shrugged. "Doubtful."

"So certain," she teased. "Must be hard being so right."

Aly gave him a sidelong glance. "Does that ever get tiring? Knowing who people are before you have a chance to get to know them?"

"Not really," Lucifer replied, wings stretching out for a moment. "Do you tire of your abilities?"

Her eyes watched his wings unfurl more obviously than she should have liked.

"Not particularly," she said. "But then, you'd probably call me still a child."

"In age? Certainly. In intelligence?" He paused and smirked, mind drifting to a certain doctor. "Some have shown a rather refreshing ability to think clearly."
