Aziraphale had an unexpected road trip to take today, but he also had a job that needed attention and that he totally skipped last week. So first thing in the morning, he stopped at Book Haven and made sure everything was set for the day.
On the counter, he left a plate of gingersnaps and a pot of tea, next to a small strongbox. Perched next to these was a handwritten note:
Please help yourself to biscuits and tea.
Payment for any book purchases should be left in the box.
Yes, I WILL know if you take a book without paying for it.
So don't do it.
