Sokka strolled in and started looking at Fish with his mouth watering. "Dude?" he asked, pointing at the fish. "Please tell me that's not a pet."

Sokka's face fell. "So what do you got around here that is edible?" he asked.

And he looked more closely at Fish. "Hey, he's sorta cute!"

"Veggie burger?" Jude suggested. Fish blinked at him in a mellow sort of way. Like master, like slightly strange-looking goldfish.

Rikku bounced into the diner to pester her favorite Jude-dude. "Hey!" she grinned. "Fish! Hi, Fish!"

She eyed Jude a little unsurely. "Uh ... are you sure that's safe?"

"He's totally fine," Jude said. "It's fresh water, he's got air, and he's going right back in his bowl when I get home." He grinned and set Fish to the side, leaning over. "Hey."

"Hiya," she said, leaning in for a quick kiss. (Quick. He was at work.) "Okay. So long as he's safe and all. Hey, how'd you get him down here without spilling all the water?!"

"Hey!" Bridge arrives and manages to sit himself down at the booth with some bizarre combination of a slide and a bounce.

"Hey, yourself." Xander slides a cup of coffee across to him. "It's not exactly a hotel restaurant, but we know the food is good, right?"

Bridge takes an absurdly large sip of coffee before glancing over at the specials board. "Somehow I'm thinking burgers might not be an option today, though. We may need to branch out."

"There's veggieburgers." The tone Xander uses to say this is akin to how he might say, 'There's a blue substance of indefinite origin that may or may not be edible' if he were, y'know, Giles.
