The Devil's Nest, Monday Night

There were yet more children in town now. How utterly thrilling.

Lucifer took his place behind the bar, a glass of wine next to him as he read a book. What? He owned the place, it wasn't as if he wouldn't notice any customers should they happen upon the club.

After enjoying a quiet dinner with Aziraphale, Wilson headed down to the Nest for what had become his habit on Monday nights.

A drink and possibly a dance with the devil.

Dressed casually, he slipped through the door and headed for the bar, that rare, soft smile on his face.

"Good evening."

"Actually, if you have a chilled white wine? Something dry?" He asked as he slid up onto the bar stool across from the Advesary.

Smiling again, Wilson waited till the glass was set in front of him and then picked it up, cradling it delicately between the fingertips of both hands.

"Thank you," he said softly.

Then, rather than pushing on with conversation, he fell silent for a bit, eyes fixed on a point behind the bar but gaze obviously turned inwards. As time slowly unwound, perhaps it became obvious that for the moment, he was simply using the comfort of Lucifer's pressence as an anchor, while riding the tumultuous waves of some inner conflict.

Wilson maintained his thoughtful silence for well over an hour as he worked his way slowly through the wine in his glass, even after the last of the wine was gone.

At one point his gaze came up to Lucifer's face and held there for almost fifteen minutes before he finally nodded and pushed the wine glass away.

"Dance?"

"I do," Wilson confirmed with a warm smile and a playful, mock arch of his chin before he turned and headed for the dance floor.

Squall's glass was empty and the bartender was dancing.

He stood up, leaned over the bar, grabbed a random bottle, and headed off to the lounge.

Squall was back at his usual seat in the Nest tonight. It seemed like every time he tried going to Caritas, it just got worse and worse.

Here, there was no crappy music.

"Booze me," he ordered.

And no ABBA, either. That was the important part.

Squall nursed the rum, not bothering to care what kind of alcohol it was.

Squall lurked here, in a dark corner, drinking straight from the bottle.

Tonight, the mortal seemed inclined to pick the music and he bypassed their usual waltz or latin tones for something a bit more, vigerous. Industrial with dark overtones, the music invited free style moves and seemed to invoke the mental image of a loaded sort of darkness, where pain and pleasure were exchanged in equal measures.

Though the music did not invite traditional dance steps, Wilson still turned towards Lucifer with the same lightness in the balls of his feet that he'd shown on the grass at the B&B. There was a fire in his eyes, as he began to move around the Lightbringer, never loosing touch with the angel, his steps aggressive but not charged with the bravado of useful challenge.

More, it was an invitation of sorts, to Lucifer to perhaps reach out and explore those boundries the Advesary had pondered during the heat of their first coupling.

Wilson arched slightly into to slid of Lucifer's hand around his side to his back, a silent indicator of his pleasure in the touch. Of his own hands, one came to rest on the Advesary's shoulder, the other sliding appreciatively down his side to his hip.

Carefully placing his feet, he continued to move in time with the music, simply letting his body become an extension of the beats and measures as he looked up into gold eyes.

"Something to make the next waltz all the sweeter," he whispered against Lucifer's jaw, knowing the Lightbringer could hear him, even over the heavy bass line of the music playing for their pleasure.

Enjoying Lucifer's movements, Wilson shut up and concentrated on the music and the dance. As he had out on the lawn, he gave his full focus to his partner and to the pleasure of their shared steps, feet never once risking landing on toes, even though he barely let enough light in between their bodies to catch his own breath.

It was a challenge to himself and a strange sort of promise to Lucifer as these nights were something important to him.

As for the Lightbringer's ability to keep himself completely unruffled, unlike a certain mortal doctor, well ... Wilson was all right with this. It simply gave him incentive to rumple the Advesary later.
