Our Lady of Fandom, Saturday all day

Gabriel was blissfully unaware of any extinct animals on the island. He hadn't bothered listening to the radio, being busy reading another novel and drinking instant coffee. The kettle was a blessing.

[The church is open]

Emma stepped into the church during the early morning. She'd noticed the dinos on her way, but as none had attacked her, she'd ignored them.

"Gabriel?"

"Good morning," Emma nodded. She glanced around the church, and was sidetracked. "Do you live here?"

"Thank you," Emma said politely. It was a nice kettle after all. "That would be very nice."

Emma eyed her cup with some skepticism. "Oh, I'm not," she said, amused by the idea. "I'm here to invite you to dinner." She paused, remembering the dinos she'd seen. "Although perhaps not today."

Emma thought for a moment. "How about Tuesday?"

Emma sipped her tea, pleased. "Excellent." She glanced around again. "Does this place have a bathroom? A shower?" No, she didn't need a shower, she was just curious.

"Ah, no thank you," Emma said, blinking back. "But thank you for the offer."

Emma was sure it was, but she wasn't as sure about Gabriel's washing up skills.

"I'm good, thanks." She paused. "So what do you think of the dinosaurs?"

[identity profile] carbontelepath.livejournal.com 2007-07-14 02:40 pm (UTC)(link)
She pointed at the door. "Not according to what I saw walking here."

[identity profile] carbontelepath.livejournal.com 2007-07-14 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Emma nodded. "Apparently. I'm not certain yet whether it's an invasion or not. At least this time it's definitely not my fault."

Emma shook her head. "Not on purpose. But the last time, with the aliens, I'd just been talking about them, and then they arrived."

A creepy-looking dinosaur entered the church and looked around.

Had he been a big-brained intelligent dinosaur, the dilophosaurus would've taken offense to the extinct comment. He was living now, after all.

The dinosaur came closer to Gabriel, interested in the sound of his funny voice.

The loud noise startled the dilophosaurus. He fanned out his cowls and spit his nasty venom in the direction of the trumpet.

The dino didn't like the noise, so he hissed and retreated outside with the rest of his pack.
