Trooper Station: Wednesday All Day

Dale was working with the other troopers trying to get the station back in order after the raptor attack over the weekend and they had their work cut out for them.

After a while the place resembled some order but the place still had a faint smell of burnt raptor.

Which for some reason was giving Dale a hankering for barbecue.

Carrying a book on sailing boats underneath his arm, Roy entered the station. "Morning, agent Cooper,"h eh greeted.

"Morning Sheriff," Dale said with a wave. "How are you recovering from this weekend?"

"Pretty well," Roy replied. "Could have been a whole lot worse. Though the paperwork resulting from this seems to be just that."

"Home damages galore," Dale said with a sigh. "And each NPC citizen needs a police report so they turn it into their insurance."

"I almost miss the military paperwork," Roy sighed. "How's your morning been?"

"You know me Sheriff," Dale said with a grin. "Just give me a couple cups of black coffee and a doughnut and I'm set for the day. What's with the reading material?"

"I'll make sure Ralph keeps you supplied," Roy grinned and tapped the book lightly against his leg. "I thought I'd prepare myself for the next time I get ship wrecked."

"So that's where you disappeared those last couple of days," Dale chuckled. "Didn't you think to bring a cell phone?"

"I don't have a cell phone," Roy frowned. "I'm not sure it would have worked either, we lost sight of Fandom."

"Probably should grab one," Dale pointed out. "And they now have something called satellite phones that work everywhere. Might be helpful the next time you take the boat out."

"Even if you're on a different world from Fandom?" Roy asked as Aly had seem sure that they were.

"According to a bright young lady from my class, most of the communication devices seem to work off the island," Dale replied and then frowned slightly thinking of his own circumstance. "With occasional exceptions."

"I doubt they'd have survived the swimming even if we'd have had them," Roy pointed out and then looked a bit sad. "Lost my shoes."

"You could have lost worse," Dale pointed out before adding, "Were they nice shoes?"

"Yes," Roy sighed. He didn't have not nice shoes. Actually, he probably spent too much on his wardrobe. Funny considering he was in uniform most of the time.

"Should we hold a memorial service?" Dale teased.

Roy laughed. "No, but I might have to see if they can send me a similar pair. Those were good shoes."
