Gunther and his sous chef were setting up for lunch when Mary rushed into the lobby with a small suitcase. "Ed just called me," she told Gunther. "I have to go to the mainland for about a day. I'll be back tomorrow. Please try not to burn the hotel down while I'm gone, okay?"

After leaving a note for Jeff at the front desk, Mary walked outside to a waiting cab, hoping that nothing would happen while she was gone.

5 bowls later, he's stuffed, and it's still not spicy enough.

Poor Gunther, it's not his fault that John was trained to take pepper spray without flinching (much).
