FH Retirement Home - An Alternate Universe

The transport touched down in the park and an extremely happy Jamie Madrox raced out of it and headed toward what he thought was the school.

All the warnings that came from Pilot and the rest of the crew about wormholes, alternate universes, time travel, etc. went in one ear and out the other as soon as Jamie saw the familiar townscape and the school building ahead of him.

He burst through the door with a gleeful look on his face and shouted "I'm back!"

Only to see a bunch of old people sitting in the lobby staring at him. Some drooling.

"Okay. WTF?"

[OOC: General guidelines
1. There will be one retirement community post for everyone to ping into.
2. If your character decides to share a history with another character from the game please make sure you coordinate your stories ahead of time. Or.. well you can just be senile about it.
3. This will be an alternate universe future for your characters. In other words this is just a possibility of how your characters may end up, it doesn't have to be what you have planned for them.
4. This isn't like Wee!Tiny weekend where everyone wakes up as a kid. It is an AU Future that only Jamie sees and only occurs in this post.
5. And one detail when dealing with Jamie Madrox: He left at the beginning of this current summer term and never came back.

OCD is up. Post is open to Students, Faculty, Townies and Alumni]

"Heh heh heh, you'll never catch me!"

Senile, cackling, and still moving at entirely unsafe speeds, Grampie Lizowski zoomed (as much as one could zoom, what with the arthritis in his knee) across the lobby, booting it for the door.

He may have been attacked by an elderly gent charging at him at top speed in a wheelchair using a cane as a jousting lance.

And screaming about robots.

Following somewhat behind, huffing and wheezing, came a woman wearing very loud clothes and yelling after Grampie Lizowski. "If you blow your knees out and get stuck in a wheelchair I'm gonna take you out to the middle'a nowhere 'n leave you there!"

"Didn't hit you, did he?" Rikku asked Jamie. "Next time he zips by here like a damn fool, I say you knock him over."

"Course it is," she scoffed. "Not like they moved it."

Rikku squinted at Jamie. "Fine, he runs over your toes, 's your fault. Tried to warn ya."

"Long, long time ago, sonny," she beamed. "Afore you were ever thought of. Great place. Met that old fart here. So maybe not so great."

She called in the direction Jude had left, "Did you take yer pills or not? 'Cause if you get sick again I'm leavin' ya for the wolves."

"This is the high school, ya damn fool. It closed down back in '23 and reopened in '35 as a 'retirement community'," he spat. "Not counting the mad scientist base of operations, Swedish Bikini Team practice summers, and low security prison." The old man stepped out of the chair, abandoning the cane (which was embedded in the wall next to similar holes).

"You look familiar. Name. Rank. Serial number," he barked.

"Well, Tiffani-Amber Valjean, you look good for someone who OD'd about 20 years ago." John grabbed a baton stick from inside his sleeve.

"I asked you a question, I expect an answer." John's scarred face was probably too close for comfort.

She gave him her very best "duh" face. "Well, I was here for high school, sonny. How long ago you think that was? Last week?"

She listened but couldn't hear any noises from Jude, who was probably long gone by now. "What's the over/under on that damn fool finally snappin' his neck?"

Chad, who was looking amazingly like his abuello, right down to the suspenders and funny hat, was sitting quietly with the shuffle board shuffler thingy on his knees. This was usually what he did all day. Sit around and wait for someone to play him, but no one ever did because even in old age, he had strength problems and shuffled too hard all the time.
