Charlie's writing lists of F/X ideas for the play that she has to give to A.J., so he can talk to Aly about them, bits and pieces of Nomadic Celtic Chef (throwing frying pans from horseback at attacking barbarians) and also working on song lyrics. About the new Headmaster. Master of the ~~House~~ Head. It's not going anywhere yet, but it's amusing her.

The kittens are now playing hide-the-CD and forcing Charlie to play when they get bored with each other. Groovy Tunes is open.

May be SP until this evening; work looks like it's going to ramp up.

Toward the end of her shift, John stopped in for their date.

"Hey, Charlie," John greeted her with a smile. His hair, very slightly pink and still a little bit sparkly despite his many many washings.

"Hey, John." Charlie grinned a little, and said, "Okay, you've got better hair than me. Should I put some sparkly mousse in mine for going to the movies?"

"Definitely not, this is leftover from a prank," he said gesturing at his hair. "Your hair is far superior."

"Thanks!" She bounced, and then blinked. "And ohh. Semi-permanent, hunh? Was it Gr--Annette? I know you and she got Turtle's braid, a few weeks back." Charlie started shutting down the register and herding the kittens to their pen.

"No, it was my fake little sister. She thought it was pretty. But, uh, how do you know about the braid?" John got a worried look on his face.

"Turtle told me. After you bought her ice cream to make up for it," Charlie added hastily. "She's just about my best friend here, so. I hear stuff." She smiled a little. "Although I didn't know you were going on a date with her 'til last night. We forgot to compare notes after the Three-Minute-Dates."

"Oh, that's cool then," it was Turtle's story to tell as she chose, after all. "Yeah, the Three Minute Dates were pretty beneficial for a lot of us, if the radio is any indication."

"Yeah!" Charlie beamed back, then finished locking up the register. "Sometimes the first part's the hardest, isn't it? And we've already had one good date. So another good one will be easy. Especially with The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Zombies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Incredibly_Strange_Creatures_Who_Stopped_Living_and_Became_Mixed-Up_Zombies) on the agenda."

John grinned, "I haven't seen that one, but it sounds like a masterpiece of horror. All ready to go (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/1930835.html)?"

Charlie hit the lights and jingled the keys for the door. "All set! Let's go see the cultural icon!"

And walked over to the movie theater with him.
