The Devil's Nest, Tuesday Evening (08/07)

Now that Wilson was gone back to New Jersey to find out what the hell was going on back at PPTH, Aziraphale found himself with a lot of fretful energy on his hands.

So once the drink specials were chosen, he set about cleaning the place from top to bottom.

Between him and Neil, the Devil's Nest was probably the cleanest business in town.

Well, if a scruffy cane-wielding man was responsible for these unpleasant emotions being screamed over the bond, then yes. He would find this a very bad club to be in.

"Lucifer," came the reply. It made sense the other angel would be feeling the effects as well. Aziraphale brought a glass of scotch and set it down, then leaned his elbow on the bar with a sight.

"Sometimes, I don't understand the things mortals get up to."

"The same could be said about many other species," Lucifer replied, reaching for the scotch to down in one go.

He did not like anxiety.

"True, but at the moment it's the mortals who are being difficult," Aziraphale pointed out.

Obviously he wasn't even thinking of his own dithering about. "Er...refill?"

"Hey there Mr. Phale." Billy smiled. Was it a bad sign that actively disobeying the powers that be made him feel so good?

Depended on the Powers, really.

Aziraphale had heard about the curfew, and considering its source, was more than happy to lend a hand to the rebellion. "Good evening, Mr Kessler. Out quite late tonight, I hope? Can I get you a drink?"

"Are you quite certain?" Aziraphale asked, setting out a frosted glass. "I'm not supposed to be serving drinks to minors, you see. I'm afraid our Temporary Interim Principal frowns on that sort of behavior. So I thought I ought to make extra sure that you weren't thinking of ordering anything alcoholic."

He gave Billy a conspiratorial wink.

Tori really wasn't up for obeying the curfew decree, so after checking in on Gavin, she showed up at the Devil's Nest.

It seemed the perfect place to stage a rebellion.

"Miss Hanson!" Aziraphale smiled in greeting, from his place behind the bar. "I see the latest declaration isn't meeting with everyone's approval."

Adam had accompanied Billy here and was now hanging out in the lounge. It felt good to be breaking a rule, which was something he hadn't thought he'd ever experience in his lifetime.

I kind of giggled myself when it occurred to me that the place gets scrubbed to within an inch of its life on a ridiculously regular basis.
