The Graveyard: Tuesday Night

Yes, it was past 11:00 PM

Yes, Mel was in the graveyard patrolling.

Possibly just to break the curfew rule that Umbridge had posted.

Mel? Have problems with authority? Nah. Purely your imagination.

[ooc: Open if you're up for extreme sp and like to hang out in graveyards.]

Gabriel was up late reading and he'd just stuck his head out of the church doors when he noticed someone in the graveyard. Being a former angel of death that didn't worry him in any way, but knowing that most monkeys feared cemetaries after dark it made him curious. He strolled over and saw a girl walking around.

Perching himself on top of a tombstone, Gabriel smiled his best creepy smile, raised a hand in a wave and called out: "Hi!"

"Like graveyards at night?" he asked in a strangely cheerful voice. "Most people don't."

"Really? I find them peaceful, mostly," Gabriel continued. "What's your occupation then? Collecting corpses?" He'd heard stranger after all, and didn't seem at all bothered by the idea.

Gabriel looked slightly offended. "Do I look like one?"

"Hey, creepy isn't the same as undead!" He'd been called creepy before, and didn't mind terribly. The monkeys had funny ways of describing things sometimes.

"People think too much," Gabriel replied. "I live in the church. This is practically my garden."

Gabriel looked insulted again. "That's what gardeners are for. I just wanted to savour the fresh night air and I saw you loiter around."

"What's your problem with undead? Is this some new thing among the students?" He really hoped it wasn't. If he ever got back his ability to enslave make servants out of people between life and death the last thing he wanted was having them being chased by the students here. On the other hand, if he got that ability back he probably wouldn't stay around.

Gabriel looked thoroughly amused. "Oh, right. Well, you're welcome to weed out the undead in my garden should you find any."

"Things wither and rot," Gabriel replied, looking thoughtful. "Souls to be harvested on the End of Days and all that. Seeds in the earth." He waved a hand and smiled an eerie smile.

Gabriel frowned. "Why would I make an effort not to be creepy?"

This monkey was a bit confusing, but Gabriel interpreted this as a compliment and smiled. "Met any undead around here ever?" he asked.

"I guess. Just beware of angels," Gabriel replied and rose from the not so comfortable tombstone, turning towards the church.

"Too many of them here," Gabriel muttered, half to himself as be began too walk back to the church.
