Our Lady of Fandom, Friday all day

It had looked as if this would be a nice and quiet day. Gabriel had been sitting on the altar reading as usual, a cup of coffee next to him, when a winged blue hedgehog had fluttered into the church, singing melodically. It had proceeded to circle around and although Gabriel glared at it the little animal would not stop singing. Soon some of its relatives appeared and the church seemed to have got the choir it had been lacking for some time.

Gabriel was not pleased. In fact he was furious, and ran around the church, shouting insults at the small blue creatures who, seemingly oblivious to the angry person down on the floor, fluttered around the church.

[The church is open!]

Evie had wandered down to the church again to take a look at the graveyard. The wish to dig them up struck again, and again, she refrained. Alas. No good dig sites to play with....

She decided to visit the caretaker and called, "Hellooooo? I've brought donuts, Mr. Gabriel!"

Evie rounded a corner and blinked up at the flying hedgehogs. "Good heavens. So it is. Did you leave a window open? Shoo!" She waved her free arm at one of them, and said again, "Shoo, you silly things!"

Evie put the donuts down and waved both arms at them, chasing one into a chapel. "Outside! Outside is where you belong!" she called to them. "Oh, dear. Perhaps if we lure them out with donuts?"

"Well, I can't blame them for that, it *is* very nice." Evie put down one donut in the middle of the aisle. "Here, blue flying... thingie. Heeere you go." She looked anxiously upward, then sighed and approached Gabriel with the box. "I brought more pastries, since I'm invading your church to look at the glass again. But really, I feel as though I should have brought an industrial strength fly-swatter."
