With summer winding down, Yitzhak was putting some serious thought into a trip to the beach. Maybe a little too much thought; he was currently sipping a pina colada out of a cheesy coconut-shaped mug. (Okay, as far as pina coladas went, it was more of what the Angry Inch used to call a Schlatko Special: about six parts rum to one part pineapple juice, with just a splash of coconut cream. And hold the ice, because Skszp had thrown the blender out of the motel room window at a yowling cat somewhere in Nebraska a couple of years ago.)

To the kitchen staff's evident relief, at least he'd foregone the bikini. But not the grass skirt. Or the specials board.
