The park [morning through afternoon]

Anakin sat down in the grass, ignoring the protests his stomach muscles made, and reached out into the Force.

There is no emotion; there is peace...
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge...
There is no passion; there is serenity...
There is no death; there is the Force.

Anakin's breath fell into regular rhythms as he released his frustrations in the familiarity of routine.

Qui-Gon was quite enamoured with all the green spaces on the island and quite often went walking in the park. This morning being no exception.

He slowed though and came to a stop when he came upon Anakin meditating.

Anakin cracked an eye open and smiled softly. "Padawan," he greeted, nodding.

Qui-Gon nodded. "Good morning, Master Anakin. I'm not bothering you am I?"

"Not at all," Anakin said. "I just needed a new perspective for my morning meditation. The preserve was not working today."

Jaina had been headed out to run some errands, but it wasn't hard to pick up on Anakin, and she had been wanting to talk to him since everything had gone down. She headed over, but didn't say anything, not wanting to interrupt.

"Good morning, Jaina," Anakin said quietly, eyes still closed.

"Mind being bothered?" she asked, but would probably do it no matter what his answer was.

"You're never a bother," Anakin replied, opening his eyes and gesturing for her to join him on the grass.

Wilson was on his way from the house to the Perk, soft sided leather satchel swung over his shoulder, full of school work. Cutting across the park was almost routine for the doctor and he almost missed the meditating figure.

Almost.

Pausing, Wilson caught his lower lip between his teeth, torn between not wanting to interupt and, well .. heelllooooo eviseration on Saturday.

Shaking his head at himself, Wilson approached respectfully.

"Good morning, Doctor," Anakin said, opening his eyes. The scar on his face was already fading away.

Hunkering down on his heels, Wilson rested his arms across his knees.

"Good morning, Master Skywalker." He said politely, using the title since Anakin had used his. "You look much better than when I saw you last."

Aravis had not yet invested in a leash for Ata, having discovered that he was content to stay close, dropping sticks at her feet as he found them. (He thought these were excellent gifts.)

As a result, this would be a puppy waddling over to sniff at Anakin, a wary-looking Tarkheena trailing after him. She didn't want to interrupt what she suspected were morning prayers. "Ata," she hissed. "Get back over here."

He ignored her.

Anakin opened his eyes and smiled at the puppy. "He might smell my new friend," he said quietly, reaching out a hand.

"I'm so sorry," Aravis apologized, as Ata sniffed and then licked at his hand. "We didn't mean to interrupt."

When morning turned into afternoon, animals dawned upon the horizon.

That is to say, a very large dog leapt into the park in a complete panic, momentarily blocking off the sun if you were present in a particularly cinematic section of the park, occasionally stumbling over her own paws as she tried to glance back and run forward at the same time.

In tow was an impressively cheerful-looking horse, barging through the area in what appeared to be a demented game of tag.

They looped around the park for a while.

Anakin stared.

A lot.

Finally: "...oh, please don't be Luke and Gavin?"

Isabel was taking the long way home after a morning spent on the beach. The sight of Anakin reminded her of her conversation with River (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/2004605.html?thread=90582141#t90582141) and she started to laugh just a bit. Then she remembered that Rory had left and she wondered how Anakin was doing. "Hey stranger."

Anakin's eyes popped open. "Welcome back," he said quietly.

"It's good to be back," Isabel admitted. "How are you doing? Radio said you were in the clinic because of Umbridge. Should you be out so soon?"

Around lunchtime, after meeting Isabel on the beach and walking into town with her for coffee, River passed through the park. When she noticed Anakin she stopped, hesitating to approach in case he didn't want to be disturbed. Then she shook her head, deciding that the park was not a place to go for privacy, and walked up to him.

"Hello!" she said, smiling.

Anakin smiled up at her. "Hello, River," he said quietly.

"It's a good day," She said. "Am I interrupting?"

At some point, Billy came by, and paused as he passed Anakin.

"Billy," Anakin greeted, not opening his eyes.

"Mind if I join you?" Billy asked. And he suddenly realized that Blair was gone, and missed his meditation mentor.
