Groovy Tunes; Monday [ 09/10 ]

Having class fifth period meant that Chad was usually already late coming into work, which is why he was still wearing leather pants. And discovering that it was nearly impossible to find a comfortable leaning position in leather pants after a long period of time.

Today's music: 80s hair bands, who took leather pants to a whole new level.

This giving Chad space to think thing was really getting annoying. Teddy just wanted to see his (hopefully still?) boyfriend.

"...Lookin' for anything specific?" Chad asked and then immediately felt like he should be shot for that one. Jesu, Yasutora, this is your boyfriend, and you're acting like some regular customer or something. "I mean...." He didn't know what he meant. "Hey."

Yeah, he was pretty much useless.

Teddy's shoulders slumped slightly and he looked away, avoiding Chad's face. "I can come back later if you want."

"So..." Chad awkwardly went to go put his hands in his pockets before remembering that the leather pants didn't have pockets which just left him drumming his fingers a little nervously. "Did you come in here to get something, or just...to say hi?"

"Good day so far?" Chad asked; it was better than just standing there not knowing what to say, even if drove him crazy trying to do this.

Teddy didn't know what he expected from Chad, but it certainly wasn't... this. Polite chitchat with a stranger.

"I should go," Teddy said, suddenly turning away before he did something stupid. Like cry or scream. Worst part was knowing he screwed this up and had no way of fixing it. "Let you get back to work."

"Don't have much work to do," Chad said; he moved as if to stop Teddy, but knew he probably wouldn't be quick enough and figured that he shouldn't anyway, so the attempt faltered back. He just knew he didn't want Teddy to leave because he'd missed him, and... "You don't have to. You should...err, can stay. If you want. I...I'd...um, like you to."

Chad frowned with a bit of confused worry. "That's what I was trying to do," he pointed out, "and you just wanted to leave...M'not good at talking, Teddy, you know that..."

"I know," Teddy replied, leaning carefully against a CD rack. "It's just... you were acting like I was a stranger."

Chad's first impression was to argue that he hadn't been angry, but...that wouldn't be true. He had been, but... "I'm sorry," he said; it was all he could think to say.
