Gunther was out of the cupboard. He and River had reached a stalemate as River had fixed him with a stare that threatened use of violence. It hadn't meant Gunther did shut up however. Occasional curses in German reached her from the kitchen. River responded by a menu board message:

German curses

The Arms hotel is open.
