The Devil's Nest, Monday Night

Musubi was in charge of the bar this evening. She was pleased as there had been very little for her to do with the boy and the little winged god working.

Far too clean. They never left anything for her to do.

So she dropped a jar of olives.

"Hey how are you tonigh-whoop!" Leo found an olive.

Gingerly picking himself up off the floor, Leo looked around for what had made him slip. "I think someone dropped something around here Man."

That's when Leo spotted the squished olive. "Oh, yeah, that's what it was alright. Careful where you step Man, there might be more."

Wilson was a little tired as he headed into the Nest tonight.

Not omgendoftheworldmustemo tired, just a rueful teenage boys are stupid (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/1541615.html?thread=94482671#t94482671) and doubling so when they can both flambe you, sort of tired.

Getting a glass of chilled white wine from the bar, the mortal headed towards the lounge and the source of piano music. It was no secret, how much he enjoyed Lucifer's playing and so Wilson settled himself contentedly into a deep, comfortable chair and exhaled a deep breath as he simply listened.

Oh but that was very nice indeed and the mortal reflected is gratitude in the way he further relaxed, almost melting in the chair.

Eyes closed, head against the back, Wilson crossed his ankles and adopted a pose that had served him well through many long nights at the hospital. He didn't doze, so much as slipped into a state of alert mellowness, aware of his surroundings but utterly unconcerned for anything except studying the inside of his eyelids for holes.

Wilson might also have been plotting a bit about how to address Johnny and Wyatt tomorrow in his office hours, in some small corner of his zoning brain.

Equally reluctant to disturb Lucifer's playing, Wilson settled down with a rare sort of patience, letting the evening unfolding with a slow sort of gentleness.

Maybe next week?

For the moment, it was definitely too peaceful to be thinking bloodthirsty thoughts. A much better moment for remembering more serene times, like a particularly quiet night on a beach.

It was, wasn't it? A remembrance of some sort could almost be counted on by the sentimental mortal, particularly if there was the peaceful quiet of a snowfall to serve as backdrop.

Not if the Lightbringer put his Will into the equation.

The change in music brought a smile to the mortal's lips. There was enough of a growing hint of chill in the air that his mind didn't have a hard time coming up with winter like images and with them the warm moments shared by a fire.

Whether it be the gentle, quiet companionship of reading books and sharing tea, or more heated activities that seemed to take on a whole new air of decadence when performed in front of a warm blaze.

Ahh but they would need a fireplace for such activities and the last time Wilson checked a certain angel's apartment was a bit spartan to contain such a delightful creature comfort.

Unless that had ... changed?

Well, a lack of a nice warm fire in a fireplace might result in a particularly snuggly mortal.

Since Wilson tended to wander towards nearby sources of warmth when asleep and chilly.

That ... would probably get the desired results, on both fronts.

Poor Lucifer, such weighty matters to concern him tonight.

Now comfortably sprawled in the chair, Wilson roused as the soothing lull of the music was stopped and dark, guileless eyes opened slowly to look at Lucifer.

Much as they were in the mornings when Wilson stayed over, for that brief instant the mortal's expression was soft, completely without artifice and welcoming as it landed on Lucifer's face.

Wilson smiled.

Samael, came the mental caress, followed by a softly spoken agreement.

"An excellent suggestion."

Wilson set aside his empty wine glass and reached up to take Lucifer's hand, fingers curling warmly around his palm as the mortal stepped up close to the Lightbringer's warmth.

As they walked, Wilson very discreetly crowded up into the angel's personal space. A line of mortal warmth from the point of his shoulder, along ribcage, hip and thigh, the doctor's words might have been whispered in the Lightbringer's ear or perhaps just sent across the bond, they came so softly.

"I just finished a very nice, music accented rest. I find myself, not a bit sleepy at the moment."

Though inviting, there was a slow burn to the heat of the words, a languid sort of sensuality that spoke of a long, leisurely night.

Lucifer preferred to remember a night in the snow. An anniversary that was fast approaching.

Lucifer made a mental note to plan something come the first snowfall of the year.
