The Devil's Nest, Monday Night
Musubi was in charge of the bar this evening. She was pleased as there had been very little for her to do with the boy and the little winged god working.
Far too clean. They never left anything for her to do.
So she dropped a jar of olives.

The Bar

Silly mortals.

The Lounge
Re: The Lounge
Not omgendoftheworldmustemo tired, just a rueful teenage boys are stupid (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/1541615.html?thread=94482671#t94482671) and doubling so when they can both flambe you, sort of tired.
Getting a glass of chilled white wine from the bar, the mortal headed towards the lounge and the source of piano music. It was no secret, how much he enjoyed Lucifer's playing and so Wilson settled himself contentedly into a deep, comfortable chair and exhaled a deep breath as he simply listened.
Re: The Lounge
Such was one of the perks of seeing the star of the morning. Flames were his, not some boy's.
Lucifer's music took a more relaxed tone, softer now.
Re: The Lounge
Eyes closed, head against the back, Wilson crossed his ankles and adopted a pose that had served him well through many long nights at the hospital. He didn't doze, so much as slipped into a state of alert mellowness, aware of his surroundings but utterly unconcerned for anything except studying the inside of his eyelids for holes.
Re: The Lounge
So he continued to play. Enjoying the music himself as it flowed.
Re: The Lounge
Equally reluctant to disturb Lucifer's playing, Wilson settled down with a rare sort of patience, letting the evening unfolding with a slow sort of gentleness.
Re: The Lounge
It truly was peaceful like this. Quite enjoyable.
Re: The Lounge
For the moment, it was definitely too peaceful to be thinking bloodthirsty thoughts. A much better moment for remembering more serene times, like a particularly quiet night on a beach.
Re: The Lounge
Lucifer made a mental note to plan something come the first snowfall of the year.
Re: The Lounge
Re: The Lounge
Then again, would that really stop Lucifer?
The music picked up, slightly, taking on tune that might have reminded one of winter time.
Re: The Lounge
The change in music brought a smile to the mortal's lips. There was enough of a growing hint of chill in the air that his mind didn't have a hard time coming up with winter like images and with them the warm moments shared by a fire.
Whether it be the gentle, quiet companionship of reading books and sharing tea, or more heated activities that seemed to take on a whole new air of decadence when performed in front of a warm blaze.
Re: The Lounge
Silly mortal.
Lucifer smirked as he continued to play, amused by Wilson's reactions.
Re: The Lounge
Unless that had ... changed?
Re: The Lounge
If given the right motivation, that is.
Re: The Lounge
Since Wilson tended to wander towards nearby sources of warmth when asleep and chilly.
Re: The Lounge
Choices, choices. Perhaps if he allowed the fire to burn out and the apartment to get cool in the night...
Re: The Lounge
Poor Lucifer, such weighty matters to concern him tonight.
Re: The Lounge
That already decided, Lucifer slowly wound down the song, standing to walk over to Wilson.
Re: The Lounge
Much as they were in the mornings when Wilson stayed over, for that brief instant the mortal's expression was soft, completely without artifice and welcoming as it landed on Lucifer's face.
Wilson smiled.
Re: The Lounge
Re: The Lounge
"An excellent suggestion."
Wilson set aside his empty wine glass and reached up to take Lucifer's hand, fingers curling warmly around his palm as the mortal stepped up close to the Lightbringer's warmth.
Re: The Lounge
Re: The Lounge
"I just finished a very nice, music accented rest. I find myself, not a bit sleepy at the moment."
Though inviting, there was a slow burn to the heat of the words, a languid sort of sensuality that spoke of a long, leisurely night.
Re: The Lounge
The Dance Floor
...
We hope.
