The Devil's Nest, Monday Night

Lucifer was behind the bar this evening. Not serving drinks, or course, merely there because it had been some time since last worked.

It was entertaining to say the least. Perhaps next time he'd even wear an apron.

[[ooc: On SP until my class lets out, hopefully by 8-ish CST! Mod Musubi for quick service.]]

Wilson was, what do you know, lounging in the lounge.

Sprawled out in a chair, he idly stroked a fingertip along his lower lip, staring out across the dance floor towards a shadowy corner across the club, lost in thought.

It wasn't until he heard Lucifer's voice that Wilson brought his attention back from where ever it was it had wandered.

Smiling softly across the table towards the Lightbringer, Wilson reached over with his hand and lightly set his fingertips to the stem of the glass.

"Good evening, Lucifer."

A devil in a good mood never failed to result in a mortal in a relaxed mood.

Bond something or other dontcha know.

"You look mischievous," Wilson said thoughtfully as he saluted Lucifer with the glass and then brought it to his lips for a sip.

"Do I need to worry about handcuffs tonight?" Wilson asked and he might have been trying to not sound intrigued by the prospect.

Okay that was an opening that Wilson couldn't ignore and he arched an eyebrow at Lucifer in a playful expression.

"Are you offering to wear them?"

Wilson shook his head but the impish grin remained on his lips, reaching all the way up into his dark eyes.

"Of course not but still, it would get boring if I didn't occasionally ask, yes?"

"Besides," Wilson said, lips pressed lightly against the rim of his glass. "One day you might say yes and I am ever one about hope."

Lips still pressed lightly against the rim of the glass, dark eyes caught and held gold for a moment before the mortal simply said.

"Worth it."

Two pithy words, saying volumes.

Taking a serene sip of his wine, Wilson allowed the firmness to wash over him, like water across a duck's feathers.

"In the end, I[m the only one I need answer to, so, so be it."

"I wasn't aware I had asked a question," Wilson said with a ready smile and then he turned his attention back to his wine.

Wilson sat, mentally backtracked over the conversation to see if he could identify where exactly he'd put his foot in his mouth, couldn't really find an exact point and so he simply sighed.

Chasing after Lucifer would only fracture the situation further, which left the only alternative; a lonely one.

"Good night, Lucifer." Wilson said with quiet politeness, his gaze seeking out the shadows once more.
