Bluth's Original Frozen Banana Stand, Wed. 10/17

George Michael came to work armed with a huge stick. And he looked mad despite the black eye. Yesterday he got his bananas stolen, was given a black eye by a stupid jealous monkey, and he was denied any loving. What was wrong with this world?!

Today he had nothing to offer customers save maybe a cup of chocolate with a few nuts thrown in. Nuts were ten cents extra though.

Gabriel walked past the banana stand, and noticed there were significantly fewer bananas today. "Days of plenty gone now, eh?" he asked, looking eerily pleased.

Great. This was all he needed. The homeless guy who sleeps in a church.

"If you've come to gloat, it will not work on me today." And he held his stick higher against his chest.

"Gloat? Why would I gloat?" Gabriel replied. "I've just come to inform you that the wrath of God is upon you, and unless you repent worse things than stolen bananas are to come."

Millenia of being an archangel and delivering various tidings, good and bad, had given him a certain amount of practise.

George Michael frowned. "How do you know that? How do you know my bananas were stolen?" He gasped. "It was your monkey wasn't it! What did you do, name your monkey God? That's that's... I know that can't be a good thing."

Gabriel just listened to the radio.

"God is not a monkey!" Gabriel hissed. "God is the almighty, the Creator, Lord of Hosts etc etc etc. The monkey just did his bidding. Greed is a sin, you know."

"I have no greed! I'm greedless. Just look at my eye man with no home!"

"And yet you charge unreasonable amounts of money for your bananas." Gabriel fixed his eyes on George Michael. "And now they are all gone. Repent, or anything else you desire will be taken from you until there is nothing left."

"Unreasonable? No. No, my prices are fair. You get a lot of banana for your buck." Just not today. "Repent? But I've done nothing wrong!" Except sleep with a cheap whore. Wait. He was the whore! Oh dear God!

"Really?" Gabriel's eyes didn't move. "Perhaps you should look closer into your soul. You can't hide from God, after all."

Why did it always have to be lust? He was so tired of monkeys and their lust. What was wrong with greed or gluttony?

"God sees all," he said thoughtfully. "Lust might result in stolen bananas, but that is just the beginning."
