"Oh." George Michael wasn't sure what to say to that. He didn't know Ed. All he saw was his Uncle GOB fleeing from him. "I'm... sorry?" He handed over her banana with plenty of napkins.
"Ed was like a father to me," said Mary, taking her banana. "He was also the only person I could talk to after I fled from Vegas. I don't know what I'm going to do without him in my life."
George Michael stared at her. He didn't know how to act around upset women. That's not quite true. He had to deal with a lot of female angst with his Aunt Lindsay and Gangee. But he always went to his room. There was no where for him to go here.
"We should go out sometime," suggested Mary. Someplace public, she was thinking, since every time she invited someone back to her place, there wasn't a whole lot of talking involved.

"I really enjoyed that kiss," she said. "We, um, should do it again some time."

"I would like that, Mary. We could go anywhere."
