"Happy day before Halloween, everyone," she said, smiling and spinning in her chair. "It's Robin again, hoping you're all having a nice day and that maybe some of you have pumpkins growing in interesting places, like Professor Swarley. In any case, lines are open, and I'm here to take your calls."

Johnny poked his head into the broadcast booth. "How about if your ass has been turned into a pumpkin?" he asked, turning around to demonstrate.

Robin laughed and laughed at him.

"Is it an epidemic?"

"It is," Johnny said, sitting carefully in a chair.

His pumpkin ass had him sitting a good five inches higher than usual. "I was attacked by a terrifying man on a horse that shoots fire from its eyes."

The horse totally didn't.

"Really," Robin said dryly. "My friend Barney has one of those growing out of his elbow. He didn't mention the fire-eyed horse."

"That's because he wasn't a highly trained journalist," Johnny decided. "The guy on the horse was probably about eight feet tall, too."

"Barney didn't even mention a horse. He freaked out because I mentioned it was going to be hell on his suits," she mused.

"This isn't doing great things to my pants," Johnny admitted. "I'm glad I stole a few pairs of Herb's before leaving Cincinnati."

"...ohhhh."

Robin nodded, understanding. Her boss was gay, and this Herb guy was his boyfriend back home. LDRs were so hard.

"Do you...miss Herb?"

"Not at all," Johnny said breezily. "He had suits that would make the interior of a Volkswagon Rabbit ashamed to be seen in."

I just got Let's Go to the Mall out of my head and then this post goes up and it's back in there again.

It's so addictive, omg. I keep accidentally making up new words. "Let's go buy groceries...today!" "Let's go watch TV...today!"

Yeah, I keep singing "I haven't done my homework yet" so my roommates can reply "That's okay!" in a whispery voice.
