The Arms Hotel Lobby, Wednesday [11/7]

When Hoshi got to the hotel for her shift, she noticed a rather large fruitbowl on the front desk. There were the usual assortment of apples and oranges and pears, but Hoshi was confused by the two large cantaloupes. There were also plenty of bananas, she noted with a smirk. It seems Miss Connell had developed a taste for bananas lately, according to the radio.

Just head Gunther's warning. He tried the tofu and now he's chugging lots of cold water to cool off his mouth.

Specials? Jack is so there.

She'll answer back in any language you choose.

Mary was feeling bad because she'd talked to everyone else on her staff except for Hoshi. She had accidentally forgotten about Hoshi, the poor girl. So Mary made a point of stopping by the front desk on Wednesday. "How's everything going today?" she asked.

"Not bad," answered Hoshi. "Gunther has been very cooperative. We're trying spicy Chinese food today."

"That's good," said Mary, nodding. "Listen, I wanted to get your input on something. Take a look at this article about naked sleepwalkers at hotels (http://tinyurl.com/2k4kcf) and tell me what you think could do if it happens here."

Hoshi quickly skimmed the article. "Why would we have to do anything about them? If people want to humiliate themselves by walking around naked while sleepwalking, they wouldn't sleep naked," she said.

"That's an interesting perspective," said Mary, raising an eyebrow. "How about the rest of us who don't want to look at... that stuff?"

"Complimentary bathrobes," stated Hoshi. "Keep one in each room plus extras at the front desk with the towels."

"That's a really good idea!" said Mary. "Thanks. I'll be sure to get some extra robes to leave here."

"Hello," Stan said with a smile. "Is Mary around?" He was trying not to look at the fruit bowl.

"She was here earlier," replied Hoshi. "I think she went looking for bathrobes."

"Looking for bathrobes." He blinked. "As in something in a work capacity, or should I be worried that we're being invaded by terrycloth?"

"We were talking about naked sleepwalkers who stay in hotels because she found some article about it, and I suggested that we keep extra robes and towels at the front desk to cover up the naked people if it offends her," said Hoshi.

"That sounds prudent," he agreed, trying not to boggle over the fact that it was a common enough occurrence to warrant an article. "Have you tried the specials for today?"

"I came up with today's specials," answered Hoshi. "They're my recipes."

"Ah, excellent. Do think I'll try some, then," he said with a smile ~~as the mun ducks out for Chinese now~~.

Hoshi snapped her fingers at Gunther. The chef glared at her but eventually brought out a bowl of hot and sour soup for Stan.

It certainly was hot, and sour, and very good. "May I have some water, please?" Stan asked. Very politely.

Hoshi poured a glass of water from the pitcher that was conveniently at the front desk.

He did not gulp the whole glass down. That would be undignified. It was simply drank very rapidly. As one would a shot.

"Thanks. This is good," he said with a nod.

Now I want hot and sour soup too.
