Fandom Post Office, Monday, 11/12

Annette walked into the post office to find Not Tiddles jumping off the walls again. "Oh-no." Another attack cat day... but... She ran to the back, ignoring the cat for a moment and found where she stashed the cat nip. "Oh man." It was torn into by some feisty cat claws. "Oh crap."

Deciding that it would be terrible if she got all clawed up today by an insane freak of a cat, Annette searched and searched until she came across ~~totally modded omg~~ postal wear: kind of like a snowsuit but with less padding. It was blue. Had a patch on it that said Fandom Post Office. Maybe someone wears it when it gets really cold and has to make deliveries. It was way too big, way too long. Annette could give a crap. She zipped it up to her neck and shuffled out to the front office where Not Tiddles was mewling low at something under a chair.

"I need to get my taser back from Father Gabriel, dammit."

Not that she would ever taser the cat. Seriously.

The post office was open for business.

Not really, but I just had to say that.

Ino wandered into the Post Office after first period, holding a tea and looking fairly cheerful. Her expression changed quickly when she noticed Annette. More specifically, when she noticed what Annette was wearing.

"What are you wearing?" She might have sounded horrified.

Annette's brows shot upwards. For a moment she forgot. "What do you mean?"

Ino waved her tea expressively. "That, that thing."

[*facepalm* just ignore that bunny icon k? umm, I... don't know]

She looked down at her extra large jumpsuit and leaned on the counter. "Attack cat on premises."

[*giggles* Suuuure.]

Ino's lips twitched and she took a sip of her tea to cover it. "Aaah. I suppose that makes sense." It still looked awful though. She went and leaned on the counter, "How was your weekend?"

Annette smiled wide. "Went out of town with Dick to a wedding and no, not ours omigod, as if." Pause. Happy thought. "Um. It was great, really. How was yours?"

Ino giggled, "If it was yours I'd have been upset I didn't get invited." She shrugged, "Did some ~~handwavy~~ training and studied with Kabuto." Her eyes danced, "He's not bad at playing with my hair and I found out when his birthday is. It was a good weekend."

"Oh, you would definitely get invited but we are not getting married. No way. Um. Never, man." Hrmmm. "I am trying to picture him playing with your hair and um, no, it's not working. I asked Dick about double-dating. It, uh, might not work."

"He doesn't like me?" Ino looked totally unconcerned by this. Nor was she surprised. "He's exactly like you said, Annette. Way too laid back for me."

She grinned, "And Kabuto totally played with my hair. Didn't even have to ask him or anything."

"Sure he likes you," she lied. Not very well though. "He's kind of easy, I know. Not much ruffles his feathers. Not that I like trying or anything."

Annette twisted her lips. "Dick has never played with my hair."

"I tried, a bit." Ino admitted, noticing the lie but letting it go, "But I didn't shriek or yell or anything. It was very restrained, really." Well, it was. For her.

Ino tilted her head, "Have you ever played with his? 'Cause Kabuto just started and I've played with his a fair bit now."
