Sparky Repairs - Monday

Naomi wasn't sure why she had chosen to open up Sparky's for the first time in 20 years but she felt that she ought to do it while she was in Fandom again because she probably wouldn't get the chance to work at her old job again.

She was amazed that this place hadn't changed since the last time that she had opened Sparky's, she came in and set up for her shift.

Sparky's is open.

Bill was glad this was a small island. It wasn't hard to get to a lot of places in one day.

"Good grief woman are you still working here?"

Naomi smiled, "it's only for today," she said.

"I hope so. After 20 years you'd better own the place or something." Bill smiled. "Damn it's good to see you again."

Naomi grinned, "it's not Starfleet but it's nice for a one off thing," she said, "it's good to see you again Billy,"

"How's Starfleet going? You a captain yet?"

"I'm a Lieutenant, hopefully I'll be promoted to Lieutenant Commander soon," Naomi said, "I'm currently Chief Science officer on the USS Rhode Island,"

"Chief science officer, that's great." he smiled proudly.

Naomi smiled, "what have you been up to these past 20 years," she asked.

Bill loved that question. "Well I got my masters in Archeology/Anthropology, and then immediately had to rescue my kids, remember that particular visitation? From a cloning lab, and since then we've been living in a light house, my sister Jeanie opened an aquarium/marine research facility nearby and helped me with the kids. I got married a few years ago and had a third kid, and now my oldest just graduated from Fandom and my son's just started his freshman year."

Naomi nodded, "that sounds great," she said.

"It's been great. How about you out in space? Any grand adventures?"

"It's been going great, it's not on the same level as Fandom but it's not boring at least," Naomi smiled, "I'm also married and have two children so that also helps in keeping me busy,"

"Oh that's great! What are their names? Boy? Girl? Combination?"

"I have a girl and a boy," Naomi said, "Sabrina's six and Greskrendtregk's three,"

"What do you call him for short?" Bill wondered.

"He doesn't generally have a short name but sometimes he's called Gres," Naomi said.

"What kind of, I mean what er, ethnicity is he?"

"Half Brunali, a quarter Human and a quarter Ktarian," Naomi replied, "Greskrendtregk is a Ktarian name and it's the same name as my father's. It's traditional on his side of the family,"

"Oh good choice then." Bill nodded. "I'm not familiar with the Brunali, but that doesn't surprise me being the 21st century man that I am."

"My husband, Icheb, is Brunali," Naomi replied, "his species originates in the Delta Quadrant,"

"Wait, I know that name."

"Icheb was on Voyager with me," Naomi said, "I might have mentioned him to you at some point during high school?"

"Probably. That's cool that you guys got married. What's he do in Starfleet?"

"He's currently a Commander," Naomi replied, "and he's the first officer on the Rhode Island,"

"Hey and you guys even got to be on the same ship, that's excellent. I seem to recall you not liking not being out with your mom."
