The Perk, Tuesday During Second Period (11/20)

Aziraphale headed over to the Perk a little early to make sure everything was arranged for his class. By second period, there was a small group of tables and chairs pulled together off to one side, holding a collection of tarot decks, scrying globes, and teacups, along with a few handouts on methods of fortune telling (palmistry, tarot reading, chrystallomancy, tea reading).

Each table also carried a small sign:
Prophecy Class Project: Free Fortunes.

He took a seat nearby to check off students as they arrived, and to answer questions as they arose.

[ooc: Prophecy Class meets here today for their class project. There will be a couple of threads for use by the class, and a thread for anyone who just wants to use the Perk for other needs.

PROPHECY STUDENTS: More details are in the OCD threads. This is not mandatory, but I hope most of you will choose to participate.

ANY character can come and get his or her fortune told. Just ping into the FREE FORTUNES thread under one of the students. Please wait for the OCD is now up, the class project is in session, and the Perk is available for use.

Chris Halliwell - Chrystallomancy

Chris was there with a large cup of coffee on hand. He had a variety of crystals on the table in front of him.

Andrew sat down across from Chris. "I think I'm losing it," he said seriously.

"What's wrong?" Chris asked.

"I can't really remember yesterday." He paused. "Or the day before."

"That's... not good," Chris said, frowning. "What is the last thing you do remember?"

[identity profile] wannabe-pan.livejournal.com 2007-11-20 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
"Going to bed on Sunday. Well, falling asleep on John's couch." He scratched his head. "The thing is, I think I remember stuff from the past couple of days, but it's like it wasn't me. I have this jumble of crap in my head."

There was one image in particular that was really eating away at him right now. He kept glancing around for Neil.

Chris raised an eyebrow. "By any chance, does that jumble of stuff include thinking you were maybe twenty years older and here for a reunion?"

Andrew Wells - Tarot Reading

[identity profile] wannabe-pan.livejournal.com 2007-11-20 02:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Andrew had a headache, and he was still confused about what had happened to the past two days of his life. He wondered if consulting the cards would make the jumble of images in his mind make any sense.

Annette Hargrove - Tea Reading

[identity profile] misshargrove.livejournal.com 2007-11-20 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Annette was sipping hot cocoa. She had tea cups and leaves sitting around her on the table to be used for her tea reading purposes.

Eve Levine - Tarot Reading

Eve had a large cup of coffee in front of her, and several tarot decks in front of that.

Re: Neil Perry - Tea Reading

Neil was there today, quietly contemplating a cup of tea. He almost wished he could actually read tea leaves but you know, given the events of yesterday, wasn't exactly like he needed to know.

Andrew took the seat across from Neil. "So, will I be rich and famous?" He smiled, realizing it could be the first time he had genuinely smiled in almost a week.

Looking up sharply, Neil just took a moment to soak up the sight of his boyfriend, back to his correct age, smiling and being the full of life young man he cared so deeply about.

Too deeply

But still deeply and given everything Andrew had been through, Neil couldn't find it in him to be bitter or sharp. Instead he smiled, perhaps a bit sadly and looked down into the cup.

"Let me see here," he said, trying hard to shove aside the fresh memory of how cold and cruel Andrew had been as an adult. "The leaves say ... umm ... well, they sort of say a soggy kind of P .. no maybe a D ... possibly a Q?"

Neil was really bad at tea reading it seemed.

"So that's a no, huh? I guess that's okay. Who needs money, right?" Andrew was uneasy. He couldn't get certain images out of his mind - an image of Neil looking hurt.

"I feel like I haven't seen you in ages," he said softly.

Andrew's words brought Neil's head up and this time he simply looked contrite as he reached over and caught Andrew's hand in his own.

"I'm really really sorry I wasn't hear last week when everything happened. I'm so sorry you had to go through all that, Andrew. Bart was, he was a really great guy."

Re: Neil Perry - Tea Reading

[identity profile] wannabe-pan.livejournal.com 2007-11-20 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Andrew didn't say anything at first. He just sat there, blinking a lot and holding onto Neil's hand.

Then he pulled his hands away, tucked them between his knees, and turned his head from Neil. "It's okay. We had a service. People said nice things."

He didn't want Neil to see him tear up.

Neil of course took the withdrawal and entirely different way muuuaaahhh and felt the same stab of rejection to his heart that he'd felt yesterday when adult Andrew had been so cruel.

Slowly drawing his hand back, he ended up with both of them set in his lap as he looked at the side of Andrew's head.

"That's ... that was nice of people," he said softly, vaguely aware that the words were little more than the polite noises one man.

Savannah Levine : Tarot Reading

[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com 2007-11-20 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Savannah had a large cup of tea and a couple of tarot decks in front of her.

Wyatt Halliwell - Tarot Cards

[personal profile] blessed_twice 2007-11-20 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Wyatt even had a cool Arthurian Tarot deck.

He also probably still had the goofy grin on his face from yesterday.
