The shooting range was done and open.

Cable did not particularly advertise this fact. The Open sign was on the door, and that was about it.

The only obvious change was that he spent a part of his day in the meditation room instead, training, sweeping his Psimitar around in controlled fighting blows.

Ino didn't really have a reason to show up today, but after a boring weekend she felt too restless stay up at the school and Cable-san always said something that made her think... Was she using her boss for entertainment?

She... kinda was, right? That was sorta pathetic. Ino wrinkled her nose. Should she just go?

Her chin went up stubbornly. She was here and it'd be even sillier to just leave. "Good morning, Cable-san." Ino called before she changed her mind.

The shop was empty, but--

"Good morning," came the quick reply from the meditation room, along with the noise of a single pair of feet moving in practiced training steps.

Ino tilted her head curiously at the direction of the response and headed for the meditation room. She leaned against the door frame and watched him with interest, "What are you doing?" Some sort of training obviously.

He swept the psimitar around fluidly, canting his arm and pointing the tip towards the floor, back towards the door. Cable glanced over at Ino, partway over his shoulder. "Getting a new feel for an old weapon," he replied.

Ino eyed the weapon, content to stay by the door, "What's it called?"

"That's not important." He went back into his routine, moving the weapon with the grace of someone who'd used it for a long, long time.

He probably had.

"Oh." Ino wrinkled her nose at his back, a bit put out by that not-answer. "Why isn't it important?" One day perhaps she'd learn to keep her mouth shut. Not today.

It'd been on his list of things to do, but today Roy finally made his stop that the arms store. He let the door fall shut behind him, shaking his head to get the droplets from his hair. He still hated rain.

Wiping his feet, he stepped further into the shop, quickly scanning around before looking towards the owner. "Good day."

Cable had moved back to his desk some time after Ino's visit, where he was quietly writing things down on that seemingly unending stack of forms, books and maps that tended to end up in the store.

He glanced up when Roy arrived, pausing momentarily in his work. "Sheriff," he replied.

"Quiet day?" Roy asked, just small talk to give him some time to study the store a bit further.

"Regular." Still so very much not with the small talk. "Can I help you?" Cable asked, his tone mild. He'd recognise that kind of once-over anywhere.

"Not so much currently," Roy seemed to finally have seen enough as he turned his attention completely towards Cable now. "I'm afraid this is a 'get to know your local arms dealer' visit. The last time we talked wasn't exactly under the best circumstances."

"That's one way to put it," Cable observed, but he seemed calm about the subject. He may have mentally assessed Roy on the threat index for a moment or so, but really, that was just an automatic response. "Anything you'd like to know?" Not that he was likely to answer any of the important questions.

"Technically I should probably start by questioning you about the security around this play," Roy replied, but he shrugged a little. "I'm guessing we can forgo that however. You're from Deadpool's world?"

Sokka walked in very proper-like and bowed respectfully to Cable. "Is the shooting range finished yet, sir?" he asked.

Cable glanced up from his location behind the desk.

Ah. It was that boy again. "Yes," he replied. It may have been a touch warily. But not much.
