Bluth's Original Frozen Banana Stand, Tuesday, 11/27

George Michael came to work and stood before the banana stand, staring at it in slack horror. Eddie was there, Eddie somehow managed to get inside the banana stand and get the lid off the chocolate pot. Eddie's beak was dipped in chocolate. Eddie was flapping his wings and making all sorts of seagull noises. George Michael wasn't liking the interpretation of said seagull noises.

"Get out of there! Come on!" He wished Uncle GOB was here. He had a way with birds.

Still the menu board was up and George Michael would do his best to fix anyone a banana, even if the chocolate was tainted with bird beak.

Mary showed up around lunchtime with a picnic basket. "I brought you lunch," she said with a grin.

His eyes lit up when he saw her. "You did?"

"Yes, and I made sure Gunther packed the good stuff too," said Mary. "There's soup and sandwiches, plus a thermos with hot coffee." After all, Mary had to give Gunther something to do while she rearranged all the Christmas decorations he put up yesterday.

"Mary, you have to be the best ever girlfriend," George Michael said. "You are my girlfriend, right?" Coming out from behind the stand, he took the basket from her arms and leaned over to kiss her. "Let's sit over here on a bench."

"You have to ask? Of course I'm your girlfriend, sweetheart," said Mary before she kissed him back.

"Sometimes I am unclear on the whole relationship thing. But, unless we break up, you're mine," he grinned and set the basket on the ground, opening the top and... "Mmmm, smells good in here. You should have done this but I'm glad you did."

Mary covered one of his hands with her own. "I can understand that, but I can tell you that I'm definitely yours as long as you want me," she said. "And I know you don't want to eat bananas for lunch every day."

He curled his fingers up to hold her hand. "No, bananas get kind of... un-bananary after a while. Do you want to pull stuff out of here? I don't want to accidentally spill anything."

Mary leaned over to give him a peck on the cheek. "I figured that you would appreciate a change of pace," she said as she unpacked the basket. "So, we've got chicken noodle soup, turkey and swiss sandwiches, and of course, hot coffee. I also made sure Gunther packed some napkins and silverware."

"I do appreciate it, very much," he said, watching her. "Wow. That sounds so good. I probably don't eat as healthy as I should."

Mary giggled. "Stick with me long enough and I could probably change that. Gunther complains that I eat like a bird."

"I could get fat," he grinned, "If you keep feeding me. And you are pretty thin Mary, except you know," his eyes dipped to her breasts. "You have nice, I mean everything about you is nice." He unwrapped a sandwhich and took a big bite.

Mary was fairly certain that she knew what he was talking about. "Well, I'm glad you like them. Sometimes it feels like everybody notices my breasts and no one really looks at me," she said, thinking about what Jeff said about her last night on the radio.

"Well, they are pretty but that is not the only thing I notice about you, Mary. If it was, I would be groping them all the time and I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate that, right?"

"Well, probably not all the time, though I wouldn't mind a little bit of groping," said Mary, giggling.

George Michael's cheeks flushed. "Tonight Mary, tonight you will get tired of my groping."

"Ooh, that sounds like a promise," said Mary, leaning closer so she touch his cheek. "Have I ever told you how cute you are?"

"It is a promise, Mary. I never give one intending to break it," he said and looked her fully in the face. "You might have. I think I heard you mumble it sometime during the night while we were, or when we just finished, or maybe it was before..." George Michael's mind was in a happy place.

"Well, I should say it again. You are cute. That was the first thing I noticed when you walked into my hotel," said Mary. She was looking forward to taking him back to that happy place.

"Is cute good?" It reminded George Michael of a puppy. "I'm thinking puppy here. I smell good right?"

"Cute is really, really good," Mary assured him. "And you definitely smell good."

He smiled wide. "I think you are beautiful and you smell delicious."

"Delicious? I don't anyone's ever used that word to describe me before," giggled Mary. "It sounds good, though."

"Good enough to eat," he said low, waggling his brows at her.

"I'll take your word for it," said Mary, blushing.

"Oh my god. Did I... did I say that out loud?"

"Yes, you did," chuckled Mary, still blushing.

George Michael facepalmed. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

"It's okay, sweetie," said Mary, who was still very giggly over the whole thing.

He would giggle too if he were a girl, but he was embarrassed and he supposed he shouldn't be. This was his girlfriend. "I'll whisper it next time, okay Mary?"

"Okay," said Mary, smiling. "You can whisper to me as much as you want to."

He grinned over at her and took another bite of his sandwich. He didn't want any of it to go to waste. "We're going to have to think about Christmast more and what we're going to do. I would like to spend some of it with you, Mary."

"I've been thinking about that," said Mary. "If you want to visit your dad for the holidays, that's just fine with me. I'd be happy go with you, if your family wouldn't mind having me over." She felt she could handle another round of being stared at by the Bluth men if it meant spending time with George Michael. It couldn't be any worse than working the weekend that pools opened in Las Vegas.

"I would like to even it out Mary, if you have somewhere you'd like to go too. We could half and half it, you know? We don't need to spend the entire time with my family. Or we could skip it and spend Christmas in the Bahamas or something," he said with a teasing grin.

"Oh, that sounds really nice," said Mary. "Or maybe Hawaii. Christmas with palm trees and coconuts and white sandy beaches... I feel warmer just thinking about it."

"And you in a bikini," he added with a little grin, looking down. "But the warm weather sounds great."

"Oh, I'd bet you'd like that," said Mary, also grinning. She was also trying to remember if she owned a bikini.

"Well, it would be nice," he said, finishing off his sandwich. "I'd bet you'd look great."

Okay, now she really had to go out and buy a bikini. "How was the sandwich?" asked Mary.

"Wonderful," he replied with a smile.

"Good," said Mary, smiling. "I should let you get back to your bananas and chocolate while I start looking at tropical destinations for Christmas."

Mmmmm, it tastes like chicken.
