George Michael was on his cell phone behind the counter and his face was nearly white. "I... no... no... I can't just... no... no...yes," he rubbed his brow. "But... no... I mean I thought... okay, fine...yes... I'll come." Pause as he listened to Maeby rattle on on the other end of the line. "I said I'll be there! Monday. Okay. How long is this going to... that long? But... fine bye." She hung up on him and he began to stir the chocolate, his mind far far away.
