Caritas - Friday evening [Open]

Jolee may have discovered television. And he may have had cable hooked up in the bar. And he may have had a TV put in below the bar so he may have been able to watch episodes 10 and 11 of the cartoon about the bald monk kid who had to save the world.

He might have to get some bigger screens installed around the bar so he could force other people to watch what he wanted. That would amuse him greatly.

Anakin stalked into the bar, only noticing the guy behind the bar enough to realize that he might actually get a glass of what he wanted.

"Whyrren's Reserve. No ice."

"You seem jolly as ever, Professor Skywalker," Jolee said, although not with nearly the annoyed tone as he generally used when it came to this guy. He used the Force to pour Anakin's drink and pass it along. And, yes, he had learned Anakin's last name and profession over time without having to talk to the guy again. Jolee was happy about that part.

"Well, it's no fun if you go along with it," Jolee said. "That's not going to stop me though. I like hearing myself talk, so I'll deal. *ahem* Reason number one, I'm older than you. Reason number two, I tend not to call Jedi who are older than me Master either. Reason number three, I'm not your student so I don't care what you want me to call you. Reason number four, you're too mopey right now. I think that's enough for now, but I can come up with more later on."

Melody managed to tear herself away from the cartoooon for long enough to aim a smile and a wave at her housemate. He didn't look like he was in a mood to appreciate it, but being nice was always good.

"Hi," Melody burbled as she walked in, before her attention was drawn, as if by a magnet, to the TV. "You're watching cartoooons," she cooed.

"I like the colors and the clothes," Melody said, eyes still on the screen. "Um ... a light beer, please."

"That's nice, too," Jolee admitted as he grabbed a bottle for Melody. "Granted, with my eyesight the colors are a little muddy, but the clothes are strangely familiar."

Melody looked him up and down. "They look kinda like yours," she agreed. "Maybe I should start wearing robes."

It seemed to be the night for people from 33 Apocalypse Avenue, because Thursday showed up as well. She sat at the bar, looking tired and not in the best of moods. "I'll have a Gremlin Spit." Yes, she made that up.

"Just a moment, ma'am," Jolee said.

"Hey, Tino, any clue how to make that?" he asked. Tino shrugged. "Figure something out."

"It'll be just a moment," he said, turning back to Thursday.

Considering she'd only made up the drink, she was pleased with the service and curious as to how it was going to turn out. That thought put aside, Thursday made a very observant comment. "You're not the magician with the bad dress sense."

"Nope!" Jolee said. "I'm an old man who wears slightly younger robes. I'm the new management."

Tino brought over... something. Jolee didn't know what it was and he wasn't going to ask.

Thursday wasn't about to question what was in the drink either. She toasted him, then gulped down two mouthfuls. Having been prepared for the worst, she was pleasantly surprised at the kick it had. "Welcome to Fandom. I'm Thursday Next."

Apparently, residents of 33 Apocalypse Avenue congregated at Caritas more than they did at their own house. AKA, Steve had been painting, his basement was now full of paint fumes, and he needed to give it time to air out. And for some reason didn't feel like lapping the island. "Hi," he said to the bartender. "Can I get a pop?" Yes, he ordered pop. In a bar.
