The Perk; Saturday Afternoon.

Such interesting weather here, Adah had noticed, on her limp through the town with the comfortable chairs of the coffee shop driving her left side. It was almost enough to have her miss Africa for not only its heat, but also it's consistency. True, you'd have no rain, but at least you'd get used to it being that way for weeks on end, instead of constant shifting that gave her pains behind her knee.

No matter, because soon she was inside the coffee shop and the weather didn't matter, only the warmth of the atmosphere and the strong smell off coffee permiating from the very walls. Adah got her tea, and she curled up in one of the comfortable chairs. She placidly set herself up with a two familiar volumes of poetry. She sat there and she read them. Read them and understood, knew what they were saying, was almost tempted to recite them if she wasn't certain that she'd continue to reserve her talking. She wasn't sure if it was actually reading them or simply remembering, but she could read them, finally, and she was estatic. She missed her Poe, her No Snikcidy Lime far too much, even if it was just memory, but wasn't that what most reading was, anyway? Just remembering shapes and words and meanings.

For a Frog that didn't often encounter cold weather, he was gamely going out in it. With a parka on of course, he wasn't stupid.

But it was warm enough in the Perk, that he could take it off, so he hopped up and hung his tiny coat on the rack by the door, and got a gingerbread latte. Then he looked for somewhere to sit, and waved cheerily to Adah.
