The Perk, Thursday Early Evening

After a few hours spent on cleaning her room, and totally not missing Kabu-chan at all, Ino had decided to wander down to town and have a tea. She just hadn't felt like staying in the dorms for some reason.

Tea wasn't what she'd gotten though. Ino wasn't quite sure how this had happened. She sipped at her drink dubiously, and made a face. Why did they have to ruin perfectly good drinks with caramel?

Deadpool was a fan of coffee. And booze.

Mix the two for some Irish coffee and he was a happy camper.

Someday they'd have an intervention for his drinking problem. Someday.

He nodded at the blond kid as he sipped his Baileys with a splash of coffee. "Lil' one from Arashi's home and kinda minion of Nate."

"You work for him, it's only a matter of time before his crazy ideals rub off and you follow him like a puppy." Not that he had any experience with this.

Really.

At all.

"Ino. Okay then. I'll remember that." No he wouldn't.

He gave her a look at 'Cable-san'. "Yeah, yeah. And he saves kittens in his spare time. Just stay objective with him. He's a big fan of bringing down a shitstorm on people around him."

"Liking peace and actually having peace around him, so different kiddo," Deadpool shot back. "Or did you think those rippling muscles were for show?"

"Ahh, but the difference between 'Rashi an Nate is that 'Rashi has the ability to stop fighting and be a human for a while. Nate..." He shrugged. "I'm still working on that. Maybe more ANTM is needed."

Hoshi needed a change of pace from studying in her room. She had her class notes and a mocha.

She waved at Ino. "Are you ready for finals?" asked Hoshi.

[identity profile] itsjustlanguage.livejournal.com 2007-12-14 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
"My classes are pretty easy compared to the schoolwork I did at home," said Hoshi. "At the same time, I'm not exactly sure what to expect, so I want to be prepared as much as possible."

"That's how I feel about my Fandom's Next Top Runway Project Model. Other than shopping for new clothes, I have no how to prepare for that final," said Hoshi.

"Are you going to be staying in the dorms over the holidays, or are you going home?" asked Hoshi. "I think at this point I'll be doing a little bit of both, if I can figure out how to get home."

Adah knew that she probably shouldn't be bothering with caffeine so late in the evening, but, sitting in her room all day had left her feeling oddly restless. She blamed that yesterday was Wednesday, and a very eventful Wednesday at that, so she packed up her bag with notebooks and reading books, and limped her way over to the Perk. She blinked a little, frowning to see how busy it seemed, so much more so than her usual trips, but decided to not be discouraged, tilting her head at the menu as if she didn't know what she wanted, with pure confidence that she was going to get the same thing she got every time. Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.

[identity profile] ecirpnellehada.livejournal.com 2007-12-14 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
In a situation such as this, Adah was always given two options. In the past, she would choose the first, to just carry on and ignore the world around her, but then she realized that she really hadn't done that as much as she'd probably like to admit, because, well..she just skipped most of the steps by avoiding the outside world all together. So, she supposed she might as well go with the second option, dragging her eyes away from the menu board that she wasn't really reading through anyway, and gave a small nod to the dulcet tones of the other girl's greeting.

[identity profile] ecirpnellehada.livejournal.com 2007-12-14 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
Adah's eyes shifted away for a moment as she tried to think if she had, indeed, met this other girl. She wasn't coming up with an answer either way so, when her eyes dragged back and blinked, she, honestly enough, simply shrugged an unknowing shoulder. Maybe? Probably? Possibly? Clearly it hadn't been enough to leave an impression on either of them if they actually had, so it might as well have been not.

With her head tilting and her eyes shifting the other way again, Adah considered the offer. She took a slow, careful glance around the coffee shop, accessing the other option, with perhaps a bit of a longing glance for her usual comfortable chair in the corner, before deciding that she might as well. If anything, perhaps she could entertain herself by seeing if she could get the other girl to relocate herself should she feel herself sloping down toward the side of bored. She took a dragging limp toward the counter, pulling out a napkin, reaching for a pen, scribbling down her order for the barista and digging in her pocket for the money as the drink was prepare. Once arrived on the counter, Adah shifted her bag before carefully placing her fingers around the cup so that she didn't pick it up and then discover that her hand wasn't cooperating, before then making a careful limp toward joining the other girl. Her eyes were mostly on her mug, painstakingly trying not to spill.
