All evidence of the chicken-soup sauna had been cleared away, leaving the diner in a significantly less humid and poultry-fied state.

But Yitzhak, who had the clunky quasi-laptop (running slow enough today to be more of a doorstop) out on the counter, had a different source for irritation today, and was therefore in no danger of being unable to maintain his daily surliness quota: the busiest thread on his fashion-snark web forum was some incredibly off-topic post from some guy in Dog River, Saskatchewan, who was trying really hard to convince everyone that Strifenova Celestial really happened.

Sure, someone was trying to steer the thread on-topic by asking if he meant the original version or the remake, then trying to compare costume design on the two versions, but still . . .

Luke's is open -- and to go with the flamewar, today's special is barbecue.
