Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center, Tuesday

Ino showed up early and set to work. There was some sweeping and dusting, but the majority of her time was taken up with setting up various Christmas plants all around the shop. She did make sure though that they weren't in the way of any of the display cases. Much.

No, she hadn't asked Cable-san for permission. Ino hoped he wouldn't mind. And yes, her hair was still blue. She flipped the sign to Open and contented herself with the plants and deciding on what colour green A.J.'s hair was going to be when she was done with it.

Wellspring Arms is Open.

Into the morning, Cable came down the stairs, his course set to pick a weapon from the store before heading into the shooting range.

He paused momentarily in the store, shooting the plants a mildly quizzical glance before walking towards a weapons rack in the corner.

Ino peeked around a rather large poinsettia and grinned, "Good morning, Cable-san!"

"Good morning, Ino." Cable leaned down, picking a large gun out of the set-up. "You're decorating."

"I was reading about Christmas yesterday." She told him, "And some of the plants were so pretty." Pause. "Do you mind?"

"..." He leaned back up, giant gun in hand, then half-turned. He did not, in fact, ask whether Wade had put her up to this. "I guess not."

It wasn't a rousing endorsement, but it would do. And she'd thought of it all on her own. "I tried to make sure that they didn't get in the way of anything," Ino assured him, "but don't you think it makes the store more cheerful?"

"It's nice," Cable offered, as he turned his back to the store to open up his private cache of chargers next to the map. He questioned the idea of making an arms shop look 'cheerful'-- but the plants would do no harm.

Annette has never been here before and there was no time like the present. Well, she came after her Phrophecy final. But anyway, here she was, looking for Ino.

Ino looked over from where she was placing holly, "Annette, hi!"

"Hi, Ino! Ooh, nice decorating," she smiled as she approached. "I brought you your Christmas gift in case I didn't see you again before the end of the week." Annette handed her a red gift bag with silver curly string, and inside were two, tissue (http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?catId=cat90054&productId=1429_4029) wrapped (http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?catId=cat90054&productId=1426_0034) items.

"Do you like it? Cable-san seemed kinda... meh... about it, but then he told me to enjoy it so..." she shrugged and took the bag eagerly. "Ooooh. Do I open it now? Or am I supposed to wait until Christmas?"

"I do like it," she said with a nod, looking around again. "It's Christmas-y and I like the holly." Annette grinned wide at Ino's excitement. "Yes, open it now!"

That was all the invitation Ino needed and she dove into the bag gleefully. "Oooooh! They're so pretty, Annette!" The hat went on her head immediately, hiding her still blue hair, and she held the gloves excitedly, "Thank you so much!"

There was no way Annette was getting out of an enthusiastic hug.

"You're so welcome!" She grinned, hugging Ino. "I hope you like them. It's cold enough now that you could actually use them and feel all nice and warm."

Meditation Room

"This," Ino said to Annette, as she stepped into the meditation room and did a little twirl to show it off, "is the meditation room. You see the padded floor? That's to make it more comfortable, but if you practise enough it doesn't really matter what you're sitting on." Of if you're even sitting at all.

"Ohhh, this is nice," Annette said, looking around before she moved in a little further and took a seat on the padded floor.

"Make sure you're comfortable," Ino said as she settled herself down in front of Annette, "since you've never done this before it's best to eliminate as many distractions as possible."

Annette nodded and set aside her purse, then she took off her coat, hat and gloves. She crossed her legs comfortably, resting her hands just in front of her, on her lap. "Okay. I feel good."

"Good, now close your eyes." Ino's voice went soft, but not hard to hear, "We're going to be focusing on regulating your breathing. Breath in at the count of one, out at the count of two, alright?"

"One." Three second pause. "Two."

She closed her eyes and focused all her attention on listening to Ino. And her breathing followed the pattern she set. In and out, softly... just as she was telling her to.

Shooting Range

It's not for everyone though. You've gotta have permission from Cable-san.

For a good portion of the morning into the ensuing afternoon, there was shooting happening on the shooting range.

It was Cable, of course. Keeping ready.
