Mary was looking suspiciously at the gingerbread Las Vegas. It appeared to be holding up well, but she was worried that Gunther had dragged this out just a little too far. "That gingerbread is probably kind of dried out by now," she pointed out. "By the time you're willing to let people eat it, it'll be stale."

Gunther simply ignored her.

"You made a pot roast?" Mary asked Gunther in an accusatory tone. "I don't eat red meat, remember? What am I supposed to eat?"

Gunther simply handed her the remains of the gingerbread Stardust casino sign.

Phoebe was here to get a hotel room...

"Hi there, welcome to the Arms Hotel..." said Mary, trailing off as she recognized the newcomer. "You're the girl who used to work at Caritas, right?"

Phoebe nodded. "Phoebe Halliwell."

"It's good to see you again, Phoebe. Are you checking in?" asked Mary, pulling out her list of available rooms.

"It's good to see you, to, Mary. Yeah, my boyfriend and are visiting for a few days."

"Hmmm, I didn't expect the holidays to be so busy around here, but there's been a lot of people coming in this week." Yes, Mary's been listening to the radio, but she had been so busy that most of it was going in one ear and out the other.

"Here's your room key. If you could just sign the guest register and I'll have someone show you to your room. Hope you have a pleasant stay!"

"Thanks, Mary. I always do when I'm here. The beds are nice and relaxing."

Hoshi looked suspiciously at Gunther's latest additions to the gingerbread monstrosity before finding her boss.

"Miss Connell? I just wanted to let you know that I'm going home this weekend and I'm not sure exactly when I'll be back," said Hoshi.

"Oh, that's fine, Hoshi. I hope you have a good time! Before I forget, I have a present for you," said Mary, pulling out the gift certificate that she had gotten. Surprisingly, Hoshi had been the most difficult one of her employees to shop for.

I really should be in bed by now...
