The Arms Hotel Lobby, Wednesday [1/2]

When Hoshi arrived for work, she found a very agitated Gunther pacing in the lobby, looking like he hadn't slept all night. He tried to explain in German what had him so upset, but she couldn't figure out why he needed to get revenge on a dog or what berets had to do with it. She was able to ascertain that Gunther had a good number of steaks ready to be cooked, so Hoshi made Gunther stay at the front desk while she gave orders in the kitchen.

"It was decent," replied Hoshi. It hadn't been very good at all, but the less she said, the more likely that Miss Connell would shut up and leave her alone.

"That's good. Did you enjoy spending time with your family?" asked Mary. She didn't give up easily.

"Yes." Hoshi's answer was short and simple, even though she really hadn't enjoyed it.

"That's good. Family is important," sad Mary with a nod. "You must be excited about the new school year."

"That's good," said Mary, trying to think of any open-ended questions where Hoshi would have to answer without using yes or no. "Have you seen Gunther around?"

"I think he's in the kitchen with all the steaks," said Hoshi. "Miss Connell? I think Gunther might be up to something." That would probably get rid of her.

"Steaks? I told him no more red meat!" said Mary. "I'll talk to you later, Hoshi. I need to go have a word with Gunther." With that, she rushed off to the kitchen.

Time to pimp my canon! There are no Enterprise episodes on SciFi this week. Boo!

However, the Las Vegas repeats at noon EST on TNT bring season 2 to a close this week. Today is "Hide And Sneak" (http://lasvegas-theseries.com/episodes/2/21) featuring a former Power Ranger as Delinda's Amish cousin who comes to Las Vegas for his rumspringa. Tomorrow is "Letters, Lawyers and Loose Women" (http://lasvegas-theseries.com/episodes/2/22) where Mary thinks she's found Mr. Right, except he's the defense attorney in a robbery case where she's the prosecution's top witness. And in Friday's "Magic Carpet Fred" (http://lasvegas-theseries.com/episodes/2/23), Jon Lovitz plays an eccentric millionaire who's trying to buy the Montecito.
