Our Lady of Fandom, Sunday all day

Appearantly new people had arrived in Fandom, and some of them might be religious. Gabriel put up the note on the door as he usually did on Sundays, hoping that someone would finally show up to entertain him

Bored bored bored. Despite the fact she was a teacher, the fact remained that Ghanima was barely older than some of her charges and probably had the exact same instinct for trouble.

Besides, having all of your ancestors chattering away inside your head does not detract from boredom. It just gives you a headache.

Which is why she's currently exploring the town, including the church. Somehow, the denizens of Fandom didn't strike her as the religious type.

The denizens of Fandom weren't church-goers at least. Gabriel looked up as the stranger entered the church, looking a little surprised. On the altar lay the Cat, half-closed eyes watching the entrance.

"Do it yourself service," she laughed as she slipped the rest of the way inside. "Fantastic. Encourage the kids to start their own cult."

Then she noticed the man and blanched. "So sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you. I'll be quiet."

Gabriel stared at the girl, eyes narrowing a little. "You object?" he asked, taking a bite out of a donut.

The Cat rosed and stretched, not taking her eyes off the visitor.

"I don't object, I simply doubt their abilities to self-motivate properly." Ghanima said, unfazed by the staring. "All it would take was one student with delusions of grandeur and a smooth tongue, although I have yet to see signs of such creativity."

Gabriel smiled coolly. "Pity. Those things can be so entertaining. Of course, always a mess to clean up afterwards."

"If they're executed poorly, however, it's like watching a train-wreck. No finesse." Ghani wiggled her fingers at the cat, clearly amused by its choice of perch. "Although for all I know, I missed the crazed cultists the week before I arrived. There's enough randomness on the island that it's completely possible."

The smile turned a little more amused. "Have to say I agree with you there. I haven't seen any crazy cultists so far though. There was a witch, but everyone refused to burn her at the stake."
